These rolls are totally delicious. They make great subs with anything you want to put in them. I've used ham and cheese, chicken, even Mexican things like burrito fillings with bell peppers. I like to butter the inside of the roll and let them stand a while in a skillet to toast just a little and let the butter soak into the bread. My gosh! So good!
these are very delicious you have to slice each one, no big deal but they are so tasty and good and they're the right size for a sandwich I make a lot of peanut butter and bread and butter pickles on these and they are so so good give it a try ,it's not crazy it's a good day sandwich,I think it's a very good bread
These are the best AND most reasonably priced real sandwich rolls.Other products that cost much more have missed the boat with a highly "bready" bun being offered as a sub roll. These rolls can actually handle ham and cheese with some lettuce and tomato very well compared to any other offering. Definitely recommend these rolls if you are having "sandwiches for dinner".
I bought these to make sub sandwiches at home, cant afford Subway anymore. The bread was fresh, soft but still firm enough to hold the sandwich together and not fall apart from all the ingredients in my big sandwich. Also toasts nicely for a toasted sub, it brings out the flavor more also
I get the ones in the bag or the ones in the display case in the store. Either way they are a nice bun. Just the right size for my roast beef and provolone sandwiches. I have bought these may times in store but if you need them delivered, they are almost as good.
I used to love this product. I seriously bought it all every week and told everyone about it. I don't know what Walmart was thinking as after years, and I do mean years of buying this product They changed it this week. Why ruin a wonderful product with strinkflation when you could just raise the price another 50 cents. They took at least a third of this product away. It used to be a third of the size longer and two thirds of the size around bigger and fluffy. My family loved it We made sandwiches and we could cut it in half and have two good sized sandwiches. Now it will not even hold much lunch meat. Much less a sub with lettuce and tomato and cheeses with meat. Making it so small also made the crust harder and tougher and less bread on the inside where it has no flavor. So they ruined something my family loved and we would have happily paid an extra 50 cents or more to keep it as it was period now we have to find another whole wheat substitute. We will not buy this tasteless hard Small not bread. Now it is just a terrible dinner roll. We are so very very disappointed. They RUINED a favored product to save a few pennies. :(
While I’m sure these probably taste good I’ll never know. I purchased them because the ingredients showed NO barley flour (I’m allergic). However, they just arrived and the ingredient label on the package shows it DOES in fact have barley flour. This is a major fail - your online and on label ingredients should match to prevent allergic reaction issues. Good thing I always double check!!
The bread is good if fresh. I talked with the bakery department, they said they bake every day fresh and put the previously baked bread evernight on the discounted rack. yet, I have been getting 3-day old bread with one day left to expiration every time. They also routinely sent low quality or spoiled produce. I have stopped getting my fruits and vegetables from them for the most part (crossing fingers if I put any order since it is a miss most of the time).
I just picked my order up about 2 hrs ago. The sub buns are hard and they only have a date of the 28th for freshness. I got 6pks and i very disappointed in the hardness of them and the date
did not taste good. The rolls were very flat. when you separated the two sections of rolls there was an oily substance or water condensation in between the layers
