These rolls are just so consistently good. The wheat ones are also excellent. You get a lot for the money they make a great sandwich just the right size for me anyway. They also freeze well and when you thaw them out, they are still nice and fresh.
Justin, who brought my groceries to me, was very personable and made my shopping experience nice enough to make me want to do this survey which I usually pass on. I hope he gets the credit he is due. I've also had other good experiences with the workers and will make an attempt to get their names when they go above and beyond.
These bolillos are one of those breads you end up using in more ways than you expect. The texture is what stands out, they have a soft, fluffy inside with a slightly crisp exterior, especially when warmed or toasted. They work really well for different kinds of sandwiches. I've used them for simple cheese sandwiches, cold cuts, and even ones with salad added in. They're also perfect for tuna salad, the bread holds everything together without falling apart, which makes a big difference. They're great for quick meals too. I've made easy breakfast sandwiches with scrambled eggs or sunny side up eggs, sometimes adding ham, bologna, or even chopped hot dogs. It's simple, but it comes together really well with this type of bread. Another way I like to use them is lightly toasted with cream cheese, cucumber, tomatoes, or onions. They hold up well when toasted and don't get overly hard, which makes them easy to work with. The size is practical, and having multiple pieces in the bag makes it easy to use them across several meals.
it molds way too easy. I've had to throw away many because of mold. But it is a perfect size, has better texture and taste the. white bread even if I cannot consider it french bread.
The rolls are great for making steak sandwiches. Nice chewy texture. Butter, grill and add meat and cheese. Also good warmed up with butter. Freeze well too.
I love these bakery rolls. They taste great and you get 12 in a package, not 6 or 8. They make amazing little garlic breads and smaller subs for someone who doesn't want to pack away a 12 incher they are great.
I bought Walmart's white bolillos every week. (I did not like the wheat bolillos.) They're delicious after heated in the oven or air fryer and made into sandwiches. The bolillos were what made the sandwich. However, it seems the recipe was changed. I was away for several months and when I returned and ordered them in Dec 2024, they were not the same bolillos. I should know having eaten them the last 2 years. I have not bought them since that order. Walmart, please bring the old recipe back. Don't change a good thing when nothing is wrong with it.
This was NOT what I chose for a substitution. I do not like these because they are not the ideal buns for burgers or sub sandwiches. Too thin, not enough room, lousy shape. Why do these shoppers insist on choosing their own substitutes when it is specified what we chose? I understand sometimes even the substitute is out of stock but they don't tell you that. They just assume it is the next best thing. I also know that we are sometimes texted the chosen substitutions but we can't text back about the specified item or even ask for something else. We have to choose yes or no on the one the shopper chooses. One more thing... I don't always get the text on time because I am sleeping or doing something else and not near my phone. I'm old with insomnia, so I tend to pass out here and there during the day. There has to be away to improve the communication allowing the client to text their decision rather than just a yes or no.
I don't even get to taste them, package said it was good for a week but the next day I go to open them and they had MOLD all in the middle so every piece of bread was covered in mold. I threw away the bag.
When I buy bakery items, especially bread, I expect it to be same day fresh, not one, two or more days old. Getting old bread is the norm in my orders, instead of the exception. Please do better.
