Friedrich 8,500 BTU 3-In-1 Portable Air Conditioner, ZCP08SB

This Friedrich AC unit works really well! We needed a larger unit for our space and this one keeps us cool! The vent hoses are long enough to reach our window and I really like that they can sit on the unit itself when not in use. It makes the unit more compact. This system isn't silent, but it is quiet compared to our older AC. It's around 70dB while running. The fan works well to push the air, it keeps the area near it as cool as 15ft or so away. We like the fan swinging option, but don't use it much so we don't break that motor. It feels about the same effectiveness as the regular fan, so we aren't missing anything by not using it. Have not used the dehumidifier or heat functions beyond initial testing. They did work, though! Shipping went great! The box was intact and the packaging held the AC unit well. As a tip, cut the straps and then lift the box. It is packaged so you don't have to lift the unit out of the box, just need to pull the box off the base and unit.

I have had a single hose style before and it seemed to really make it humid. This one cools it nicely is quiet and doesn't put off the humid air. It actually dehumidifies the camper and has a nice drain house I ran out the bottom. I also really like the swing feature to help move the air around in the camper. Being it's summer I haven't tried out the heater portion of this but excited to have an all in one unit. I could see this being really nice for someone's house with the sliding mount it fits pretty much any window.

Filter is easy to clean with just a quick soap and water rinse. Comes with a remote so you dont have to get up to change any settings, making it amazing for us lazy folks. Display is easy to read and understand without even reading the manual. It will lower the temp in an 800 square foot room by 4 degrees in less than an hour. Honestly cannot say enough about this unit. Probably getting another for the bedroom soon. Love it!

It cools the whole space quickly and keeps it comfortable even on really hot days in the summer. I love the fan, and dehumidifier too and can tell a difference in humidity. This air conditioner is a huge upgrade from any window unit I've ever had before. Set-up is completely easy (toughest part was getting it out of the box! It's a bit heavy, but thats a good thing for how durable this machine is), and instructions for use were straightforward and simple to understand. After testing a few different modes, I enjoyed the oscillating function and the use of the portable remote. You can also change settings via the machine, but the LED backed remote it super handy. This machine also heats incredibly fast! Safe to say I was shocked on how easy this is to set-up and use. Huge upgrade. Incredible technology!

The controls are very easy to operate and make it so easy to cool me house. The dehumidifying function works great and got rid of the musk in my basement.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this mobile AC unit was extremely useful and gave me the ability to control where needed to cool or dehumidify vice wasting energy cooling my whole house. The remote made it easy to operate. I was able to set temp, timer, fan speed, and mode. Additionally, phone app made it even more convenient. I didn't have to be in the same room or even home to get it started so the space I needed it in could be cool by time I get there. The ONLY drawback was the AC compressor was louder than I'd expect. It didn't interrupt my sleep or bother me, but definitely put out a noticeable hum. Overall, it’s an awesome unit and works as intended.

it dont even heat up 400 square ft. temperature gauge and thermostat don't work properly. I'm very disappointed. also, i watch my daily electric use. and my electric went way up compared to the other 14000 btu portable unit. i am highly disappointed.
