Friedrich Chill Premier 12000 BTU Window Unit Mobile Control and Smart Air Conditioner, White

This is my first impression. Annoyingly, I discovered there are 3 fan speeds: high, higher, highest. There is NO low or medium speed(s). This is extremely disappointing - especially for a company that has decades of AC manufacturing experience. The other problem which was inexcusable at this price point - is that the frame that houses the accordion sliders is too short vertically. So when one moves the sliders, the bottom rung splays underneath the body of the AC, So not only is there no encasement of the rung(s) to keep the rungs true -instead they just jut down at a 30 degree angle. This not only puts undue stress on the plastic, but just looks unsightly. Shoddy engineering and forming of these ill-fitting plastic pieces. That part of this appliance is junk. If I could have returned the unit - I would have. Again, just first impressions.
