Easy to install and operate. Seems very well made and finished. Love that it runs on 115 volts; exactly what we needed. Weird (to me) that you must temporarily pull the unit out of it's own shell for a through-wall installation, but it makes a ton of sense, since it let's you fit the framing to the enclosure. Once in place, it's quiet with no vibration, looks great and cools perfectly so far!
Great little window unit and it works great very good on electricity will use it year-round as it has heat to
great product. works great to heat and cool our rooms. was just as advertised and came very quickly
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this unit recently and installed it in a cutout on the wall of a small cabin shell. I really like the features and the looks of this unit and so far it has been excellent. My only suggestion when mounting through the wall is to actually have the chassis beforehand to get an accurate measure of the cutout dimensions. I gave the listed dimensions to the shed builders for the cutout and I had a lot of gaps I had to add plywood around to make a snug fit for the chassis. It does include a few strips of foam insulation to seal gaps also. All in all it's a great unit that has a 110 volt plug in that I needed.
Be aware that to install this unit, it must be removed from its metal shell. The shell is mounted to the window, and the unit slides back into the shell. Having two people definitely helps. I have a 12k BTU Gallery (120v) that did not have this complexity, so if you don't need heat, I would recommend that one over this one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought and installed in my garage workshop and it works very well and heating and cooling it. My only dissatisfaction with it is that it does not appear that it can be connected to an external thermostat to automatically shift it between the two modes when needed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This air conditioner/heater model is a replacement for the same model unit that quit cooling during its first year warranty period. I just installed the replacement about a month ago. It seems to be working fine except I'm concerned with the cycling. When it cycles off, it comes back on after a couple of seconds. This model is now discontinued which comes as no surprise to me. I wish Frigidaire would have another small model that comes with supplemental heat.
The heat on it only works when it wants too. It will go a couple days with blowing out ice cold air on HEAT. Then it will work again for a few days. When it does work, it's great! But for how expensive it was, I expect to work when I want it to work.
Ordered heat/cool A/C online, delivery box looked as if had been through a lot of wear and tear, sitting on its side on my porch instead of upright. I had A/C installed a couple of days later and heat did not work properly. Room was cool as if cool air was on. This unit was as purchased for heating purposes and I was very dissatisfied.
My ace was broken on the side not happy had to wait to get it an now this ..
