Frigidaire 12,000 BTU 115V Window-Mounted Compact Air Conditioner with Temperature Sensing Remote Control

My old AC just went last month, and I had to replace it. I'm on the top floor, and needed a unit to cool not only my livingroom, but adjacent kitchen and foyer as well. Frigidaire's reputation speaks for itself, as my parents had a refrigerator that lasted for years. This received many five-star reviews, which impressed me, and they weren't wrong. It does the trick! Cools efficiently and quietly, and the remote sensing is also a nice feature. So is the 'Eco' mode and the 'filter reset' feature whenever the filter needs cleaning. It has nice sleek lines, and a compact footprint. All in all, I'm pretty happy with my purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I bought this for my new home, I was going to put it in my daughters room but placed it in my dining room/living room/kitchen area. With it being an open concept and large area I was surprised how well it cooled the whole area. It has kept the rooms pleasant on very warm days, the time has allowed me to turn it on in anticipation of the heat. To make the rooms very cold you would need the next BTU up, but for liveable comfort this will do. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This 12k unit replaced our 10k unit downstairs our our home. Noticeably better cooling of 475 sq ft area; much quieter & cooler...we love this unit. Definately will purchase another for upstairs when the time comes! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I purchased this AC about a month ago to replace an older one. I am very pleased with this Frigidaire AC mostly because it has so many features to accomodate every weather condition. You can have total AC, Eco AC which "monitors" the area and shuts on and off automatically. You can also just have the fan operating on a cooler day. The installation was simple and the remote is very easy to use. Reminds of my TV remote, on/off, settings, change, etc. It doesn't get much better or more comfortable. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

For medical reasons I require an air conditioner that's not just cool but kick butt snow blowing cold. I replaced my old frigidaire that I have used for 10 years with absolutely no problems. It was a no brainer purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I live on the top floor of my apartment building so the afternoon sun hits my apartment directly and it gets unbearably hot. My new AC makes a HUGE difference and cools down my apartment quickly and efficiently! The unit's best feature is when it's on Econ mode I can depend on it to shut itself off when it reaches the temperature I set it for. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This is my second Fridgidaire AC. The 1st one lasted only 2 years before it lost the charge. This one cools fine. Two issues the remote sensor loses its connection for temp control if moved away more than 3 feet and the directional fins are limited in rotation. If I get 10 years out of it I will then recommend to a friend [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Bought this a month ago. It seem to work fine. I thought it would put out colder air but seems to work ok for how hot it's been. only Cools room 30' X 15' to 77 degrees on 95 degree day. BTU rating for square footage is a little inflated. Could have used one with more BTU's. Overall works good. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This unit is cooling about 550sq ft for me and it does great if I leave it on cool mode. In eco mode it turns off too much to maintain a constant temperature. I bought this model for it's remote temperature sensing feature which doesn't work. The remote sensing light turns off within a few hours of being activated. Seems like zero quality checks went into this product. The pre installed channels for the expandable window panels are not tight to the machine letting air and bugs travel freely from the outside. This is not user adjustable. The remote doesn't work. I push power to turn the unit off, the unit turns the fan up. Awesome. No way to pull air from the outside in fan only mode. Wasted window when ac is not needed. Makes the need to pump ac, more frequent. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
