My old AC just went last month, and I had to replace it. I'm on the top floor, and needed a unit to cool not only my livingroom, but adjacent kitchen and foyer as well. Frigidaire's reputation speaks for itself, as my parents had a refrigerator that lasted for years. This received many five-star reviews, which impressed me, and they weren't wrong. It does the trick! Cools efficiently and quietly, and the remote sensing is also a nice feature. So is the 'Eco' mode and the 'filter reset' feature whenever the filter needs cleaning. It has nice sleek lines, and a compact footprint. All in all, I'm pretty happy with my purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We bought this to replace a really old air conditioner that was at least 30years old. Because that one was a Frigidaire I wanted another Frigidaire. This one was very easy to install. We have had it for over a month now and it works great. It cools our large bedroom off very quickly. We really love that you can set the temperature and it will keep it at that temp through the night. It shuts off when it doesn't need to be cooling. I definitely recommend this AC unit. For medical reasons I require an air conditioner that's not just cool but kick butt snow blowing cold. I replaced my old frigidaire that I have used for 10 years with absolutely no problems. It was a no brainer purchase. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
We just bought the windows unit yesterday and it cooled 3 rooms to the point I had to put a long sleeve shirt on and I am hot nurtured. I certainly would recommend this product for those looking for a window unit to keep them cool and comfortable. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Bought this on a 95 degree day, and it works great! Not too heavy for a 12,000 BTU unit, pretty quiet, and completely cools a 24x24 foot area with cathedral ceiling, and then some! Humidity levels immediately decrease and it makes a huge difference in our house. Glad we got this brand and this A/C. Only complaint is the "accordion" style sides - they're a bit flimsy and don't close up the space between the unit and the window sides, requiring use of some foam material. I purchased this unit to replace a competitor's unit that I had purchased only 2 years ago. Both units are are of the same capacity, except the Frigidaire unit has many more features. The other unit was loud and not very effective on the hot humid days. My Frigidaire runs quietly and it's features allow it to operate much more efficiently. It cools my living room and my dinning area, exactly what it claims that it will do based on size coverage. Definitely a wonderful investment. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Works great. Remote temperature sensor keeps room at set temperature no matter what outside temp is. Not too loud, but you do hear water swishing on humid days. Unit does not separate from case, so it is more difficult to mount than units where you mount outer case then slide chassis in. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Upon doing some research, I decided to go with this Frigidaire AC.. I bought it in May 2018, and it has been performing as stated in the research.. however, I would be nice if the folks at Frigidaire would develop a reasonably priced model that would not be as noisy as this model is.. like the over priced ones by Friedrich!! My old Frigidaire finally died after about 24 years. I didn't hesitate to get a new one. It's easy to use and keeps me cool. The few negative comments I have are: 1. The icons and font size on the front that are used to turn the power, choose fan speed, etc. are very small and not so easy for old eyes to see. Could you make the print larger, bolder, etc? 2. The fan speeds seem to be pretty much the same no matter which one I choose. 3. The unit seems noisier than my old one. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Seems like zero quality checks went into this product. The pre installed channels for the expandable window panels are not tight to the machine letting air and bugs travel freely from the outside. This is not user adjustable. The remote doesn't work. I push power to turn the unit off, the unit turns the fan up. Awesome. No way to pull air from the outside in fan only mode. Wasted window when ac is not needed. Makes the need to pump ac, more frequent. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
