Frigidaire 12,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner with Remote in White

I have been buying small air conditioners for the longest so I knew it was time to get a much bigger one and from Walmart I knew they have the most rewarding deals so CHOOSE Walmart to shop for alot of my household products from kitchen to livingroom to bedroom to bathroom and dining room u can DEFINITELY FIND A BARGAIN IN WAL-MART AT WALMART

I was replacing one had worn out over the years. Decided to buy from the same firm and found nobody had in store Amazon, Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot all had the model. Walmart's was a few dollars cheaper and like the others offered free deiiverey. I orded WM and was promised a Friday delivery and it came on Wednesday. Double good news it came just as Chicago was hit with 94 degree temps and high humidity.

The Frigidaire people have air conditioner packaging down to a science. It arrived quickly, was packaged securely but was fairly easy to assemble and install. The AC is quiet and cools one room really well. The filter pops right out for easy cleaning too.

Easy to install started cooling right away

I like the much smaller size with the same BTU as my my 30 year old Kenmore (may it RIP),the remote control, the price, and the economy settings. This thing even senses if you are not in the room and adjusts it's settings accordingly. It is also available as a "smart" version. Nice little room AC for the price.

It's not easy to install, you'll have gaps that's why they send fillers for it the hinges for the bottom will not reach the ledge, nor the window sill. It does its job in cooling quickly a small room. Overall pricy for the product it is.

I am upset that the unit arrived damaged and some what distorted/damaged in the back. However, the unit seems to be working correctly. Walmart is still my place to go for in store shopping. It's been to hot in Houston! That's why I won't go through the hastle of returning the unit.

I only used it once so far and I'm not sure if I received a dud. The fan is quite loud, as in it would be hard to take a phone call while it's running. The condenser is quiet. It also took a while to cool my room and it wasn't that hot the day I tried it.

Disappointed! The controls on the unit are next to impossible to see in low light. No light on the remote control. Very noisy compared to the last one I owned. The temperature returns to the outside temperature once it is shut down rather than stay at last temperature set so have to reset at each use. That being said, it does cool well.
