This thing quickly turned into one of those appliances I didn't realize I'd use every single day. Having cold water, hot water, and ice all in one unit is way more convenient than it sounds. The ice maker is the real win. It makes ice fast and keeps up surprisingly well, so there's always ice ready for drinks without dealing with trays or a separate machine. It's especially nice when you just want a cold drink and don't want to think about it. The hot and cold water work exactly how you'd hope. Cold water is actually cold, and the hot water is perfect for tea, coffee, or instant soups. No waiting around, no fuss. It just works. I also like the simple, clean look. The black finish doesn't scream “appliance” and fits in nicely without taking over the room. It feels solid and well made, which is what you expect from Frigidaire. Bottom line: If you're tired of refilling ice trays, boiling kettles, or juggling multiple appliances, this is a really nice upgrade. It's convenient, reliable, and one of those purchases you end up appreciating more the longer you use it.
I really love this unit, it's quite, you can make ice as needed. the hardest part is finding water. Walmart is not very reliable as having any on hand and with the water situation as it is in this town I think many people are buying it.. As far as this unit goes cold water at the touch of a button and Ice when ever I need it in just minutes.. Great value but only had maybe a month, time will tell,
Best water cooler we've bought absolutely love the ice feature. The ice being made from the fresh bottled water. It's incredible. refreshing and perfect for summer time we always have our tumblers full with water. This water cooler got our whole family drinking more water. It was worth every penny.
very quiet operation, very quick making ice.Cold water is very cold.Do not intend to use the hot water option
The ice function is very useful. Cooling and hot water work well. It does fill a cup a bit slowly, but as a home unit. It works pretty well.
the cold-water dispenser comes out very slow. the height of the dispenser is very short back breaking to fill your water glass .and I am 5'0 foot tall. I love the ice maker.
it's very easy to use. good shape. fast ice maker and cooling. but limited for small quantities. I used for 3 months ago it's very good tell now no issues detected.
I've had a Primo water dispenser for nearly 10 years, which I love. The part that pierces the top of the water bottle broke so decided to get a new dispenser but figured I'd try one with an ice dispenser too. Pros: - Looks nice - Dispenses ice - Has anti-scald lock for the hot water, though it would still be easy for a toddler to get the hot water running if they touched the buttons in the right order...(if I had young children still, this would be going back) - Clear door for ice maker allows for easier monitoring - Melted ice water recycles back to the cold water tank so unused ice doesn't create water waste - You can run hot and cold at the same time to get warm water - Continues to dispense water without you holding a button down so you can step away for a second while it fills Cons: - Loud, even if set to cool water only (louder than my 20 year old refrigerator) - Digital operation means that it will not work when the power goes out - Wastes energy by using electric to pump water rather than using gravity, even though the water jug is on top - The suction from the pump causes low internal pressure so the bottle walls bend and contract (loudly) while dispensing. - Very slow water dispensing - No 'room temp' option - Ice maker design is flawed, even though the dispenser is level, water runs down the back of the ice box and overflows from the ice tray. This makes any ice cubes in the box wet and causes them to melt faster. - Overflows are more likely because the dispenser does not require you to hold down a button - you have to touch the buttons to turn water flow on and off - don't get distracted if you step away from it for a second. I have not found any evidence of a sensor or auto-shutoff after a certain amount of water has been dispensed. If you are not looking for a dispenser that you can rely on as your primary water source, it's great for a garage or a game room where it just contributes to the ambient sound and offers a convenient cup of water. I definitelty like the convenience of the all-in-one water and ice dispenser but not using gravity for dispensing water is a crucial design flaw. I'll be buying another Primo dispenser for the kitchen and this thing will be moved to a less prominent location if I can't find someone to pawn it off on. If you have counter space for an ice maker, buy the Primo water dispenser and a countertop ice maker instead of this thing.
You would think for this price that they would be able to make sure to have all the feet level, but when you put it flat it wabbles, and there is no way to adjust the feet. I am very disappointed in frigidaire they used to sell quality products but i guess those days are gone.
I liked ice made in 9 minutes. Dont like that it stopped working, making ice and cooling the water less than a month from delivery.
