Love the amount that it produces. Great buy
It produces clear ice cubes in slabs that are easily broken apart. The only problem I had was that new slabs occasionally pushed the ice cube drawer open and it kept producing ice cubes and didn't shut down. I found a simple solution though... I slid a thin butter knife under the corner of the drawer to jam it closed. It needs some kind of drawer lock added so one doesn't have to mop up the counter.
Most of the other comments are correct. The bin slides out when the ice is dropped in, i placed a couple shims under the base to tilt it back. It can be loud when priming but it seems to run with a slight hum like a HE dishwasher. Cubes come out in a large block and if you dont get them out in each block the running water over the colling plates for the next batch will drip on the cubes and melt them. The two biggest issues are; cubes are very wet when dispensed so if you are moving to a bin in your freezer they clump and you need to break them up after they al freeze together, i have a sandy build up in the water tank that cycles through the cooling plates and can't find any info about it. I use filtered water so not sure what it is, it wipes away and isn't hard like calcium or lime. If you are using this to help with party ice or constant use during the summer it's great!
Makes a mess, water everywhere when you take the tray out. Needs to be cleaned a lot. Ice comes out in sheets
does the job but the cubes come out in one block stuck together
This unit is a lemon!!! drains water overnight from reservoir Squeals from pump/fan. Uses about the same power as a chest freezer.........So, you know what I bought instead.
Ice comes out in one full tray, it gets stuck when trying to go down in bucket. Takes too long to make ice.tried it for two days then sold it on buy and sell for what i paid for it. Was very disappointed.
The ice are too big for water bottles. You have to crush the ice down to get the ice into the bottles. Ice does NOT stay frozen. Ice tray has holes in it so water gets everywhere. You can NOT get ice out without fully removing the ice tray. Do NOT buy
the chrome plating in the ice cube tray is peeling the ice comes out in one solid block would not recommend buying this ice maker i got it as a gift and since i have no receipt i can't get a replacement or help and it only makes half a tray of ice cubes now too
