I trust Frigidaire. I had my last Frigidaire air conditioner for almost 15 years. Unfortunately, it was on a very low level of the house and got infested with mice so I had to discard it since the mice left it in a very untidy condition. I really like this one cause it's so easy to use. If you turn the Eco off, the fan will continue running even when the air conditioning is going on and off. I like that because when I'm sleeping if the fan goes all the way off it wakes me up. I have nothing but good things to say about this air conditioner.
I've used the AC for several days and just put it on dry. It cools down the bedroom significantly. I have the 6000BTU AC in my larger master bedroom for many, many years, but I didn't need the same size for the smaller bedroom. You can count on a Frigidaire AC during the Long Island summer months!
Frigidaire is a reliable brand it cools good. I own 3 have bought other brands but went back to Frigidaire because they quit working my Frigidaire is still going strong.
Delivered early in perfect condition took it out of the box let it set for 24 hours and needed it only one day so far, it hit 87degrees and it worked fantastic all day on the lowest setting great air conditioner just great totally happy with it,,,,,,,
It blows cold, I like the different settings, eco mode, and everything about this ac, except it's very noisy. I hired an Angi's pro to install it and it didn't take him 15 minutes, so it's very easy installation. I couldn't lift the unit on my own or I probably could have done it myself. I have an 8000 BTU window unit in my spare bedroom and it's either not as loud as this one, or I don't notice it as much. Since this 10000 BTU unit is in my living room I'm definitely hearing it.
Unit arrived damaged. Been dropped on corner and back vent smashed also. Installed it and in use. Needed it badly for grandkids room. Would be grateful for a credit of some kind please.
I only used it once so far and I'm not sure if I received a dud. The fan is quite loud, as in it would be hard to take a phone call while it's running. The condenser is quiet. It also took a while to cool my room and it wasn't that hot the day I tried it.
(1) The Walmart delivery ( from frigidair) was TERRIBLE with delivery dates consonantly changing. (2). I cannot get the air conditioner to quit always starting on "Eco" mode and sometimes reverting back to that non cooling setting after " eco" being manually cancelled.
Order cancelled by WM / 3rd Party Supplier without explanation a week after order was placed and due to arrive. Last minute notice VERY ANNOYING! Having to change needed purchase when I could have already obtained a new AC unit elsewhere does not instill confidence in Frigidaire as that 3rd party supplier causing me to exclude them from any other product purchase consideration.
This AC arrived in a factory direct-ship, and the box was otherwise in good shape. But when we opened it, we could right away see that the unit was damaged. It had been dropped, and the bottom/side was dented. It obviously left the factory in that condition. It was a blistering hot day, so we installed it in our second-floor bedroom. It ran ok and cooled the room quickly enough. I called the Frigidaire number and spoke with an agent who said although it was factory direct-shipped and sold by Frigidaire, because it was bought on Walmart.com, they did not recognize the order number. I would have to deal with Walmart. So, I took pictures and went to my local store, asked to see a manager, and expected to get the run-around I was accustomed to at that store. Instead, the manager I saw was so polite and respectful. He resolved the matter in a flash, giving me an adjustment. Wow. 5 Stars for Walmart and 1 Star for Frigidaire. .
