Frigidaire 5,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner for Small Rooms, Dial Controls, Quiet Efficient Cooling, Easy Installation

My living room, kitchen, dining room, and office total to about 1500 square ft. When I tell you this thing works perfectly I am not lying! It is quieter compared to others. I was skeptical because of the size but it has kept up! My only complaint is it came damaged. So far it has not affected the function of it.

Absolutely and Positively, a great purchase! I had bought a TCL/6000 BTU, and it was great also, but this Frigidaire 6000 beats the TCL by a long shot. It evens has a light-reminder as to clean the filter! A nice feature to keep it running properly. I love it! 😎👍

I bought the Frigidaire 5000 BTU Window-Mounted Room Air Conditioner for emergency use only, and redundancy. My small generator cannot power the big AC but can handle this window unit. Before another heat dome moved in with possible failure of the power grid; or intentional rotating blackouts, I wanted a backup. We are now protected against failure of the big AC, power; or both! All my windows swing open to the side so I decided to remove one without modifying the frame or mounting (that makes me a sidewinder?). It took time to think through the adaptation and lots of measurements. A sheet of rugged Lexan plastic replaced the whole window. A hole was then cut at the bottom to admit the AC (without side panels). The 2x4 (in picture) tightly fits across the inside of the window and presses on the Lexan without screws or modification of the frame. Holes are made in the AC top rail and screws passed through the Lexan to the inside 2x4. These screws hold the AC in place and are adjusted for the back tilt. It works like a charm and was amazed at the amount of cooling.

We bought this air conditioner for the living room in our one bedroom apartment, living in SoCal. It is pretty powerful, cools down the room, the hallway, and even sends some air to the bedroom. In fact, it's our second Frigidaire 10000 btu. The first one lasted good 11 years.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 14,000 BTU Window Room Air Conditioner with Wi-Fi by Frigidaire has by far exceeded my expectations! The AC unit was simple to install with detailed and helpful instructions that made the process very easy to get the unit installed and running within minutes. Once installed, the app WiFi and App setup were also easy to complete and allows for the full operation of the unit from my phone without having to be in the same room as the unit. This allows for the unit to be powered on/off and the temperature and other settings to be maintained very easily with the least amount of hassle possible! The WiFi operation is a nice feature as it allows for the room to be cooled before I ever step foot into it!!! If I forget to turn off the AC, I can simply turn it off with my phone to keep it from running when it is unnecessary! The scheduling of the AC through the app also is a VERY nice addition that allows for me to set a schedule to allow for the AC to operate only when I need it to, making it a seamless operation and keeping my house cool at all the right times! The only drawback was that the AC allows for a filter to keep the air quality clean, but it was only mentioned in the operation manual and not actually included in the package. A nice touch would have been to at least include a sample filter with the unit on purchase to allow for the benefits of the filter to be seen, therefore allowing the end user to actually WANT to purchase the filter... I honestly have NOT purchased the filter, and there is a 99.9% chance that I never will, since it wasn't important enough to actually include in the box.

this is the most powerful window air conditioner I've ever owned. I love it. it keeps both my kitchen and my den nice and cool. very easy to install. I would highly recommend to anyone

Very quiet in 'Low Cool' mode. Cools almost as well as roof RV unit, but uses a third of the power. Considering buying a second Frigidaire window a/c even though this brand has previously disappointed me. Solved annoying issue with air outlet directional rotating vent by removing the front cover and adding a small exposed Oring to each end of the plastic axle. Stays in place now even after adding silicone grease to the orings. See Green Oring in pic.

We have had it a week now, so far so good. We havent tried all the features like a timer or sleep mode yet. It cools our 20×14 ft room nicely. Its pretty quiet when just the fan is running. Its much louder when the compresser kicks on but it seems to go in stages so its not abrupt. No issues sleeping, but you'll need to turn up your tv a bit.

I don't know if this is good unit yet. I paid $95 for Angi Service and took the day off work no pay. Pro never showed. He said they cancelled the booking. Angi said he cancelled the booking. He said that he is out cutting grass as he was not busy since they cancelled. Someone is lying. Customer service from Walmart and Angi did not care. Do not use Angi Services

The air conditioner arrived looking like it was delivered by Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and kicked down the street. It must have fallen out of the truck multiple times or rolled/bounced down the street. Every single side of the unit was smashed, bent, crunched, or otherwise damaged.
