Frigidaire 5,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner for Small Rooms, Dial Controls, Quiet Efficient Cooling, Easy Installation

The unit runs fairly quiet, but I do have to turn the volume up on the nearby TV. It blows cold air. The thermostat has a small range before it turns on or off. Excellent. Who wants an air conditioner that turns on 7 degrees above what you set, and turns off 5 degrees below, to keep the condensor from cycling. In eco mode, the fan stops blowing when the condensor is off. Who wants to run the fan , and have air blowing through the room all the time. Frigidaire does everything you tell it. And I can power it from my power stations, using solar or off peak electricity.

My living room, kitchen, dining room, and office total to about 1500 square ft. When I tell you this thing works perfectly I am not lying! It is quieter compared to others. I was skeptical because of the size but it has kept up! My only complaint is it came damaged. So far it has not affected the function of it.

We picked this unit for 2 reasons...we had already tried a Frigidaire 5000BTU before and it was very dependable and secondly because we wanted something that JUST FIT into the opening we had so we had less space to "plug". So far so good. The unit went in easily and is doing what its supposed to do. Really like the echo option so it doesn't run constantly. We have this in our main family room which gets hotter than the rest of the house during the hot days of summer in Central California. It allows us to set our main AC unit at a balmy 82 but keep the room we spend the most time in, in the mid to upper 70s. We find this unit more quiet than the smaller unit we had...it is not silent but the noise it does make isn't an issue for us. I recommend!

The Frigidaire 5,000 BTU Window Air Conditioner is so very easy to install went in easily, needed only one person to install. My bedroom is medium size and it is keeping it quite cool on the high temps. The instructions for use are easy to understand. The filter is a little hard to come out of the unit, but I am sure with use in time it will come out easier. as for noise it is a little louder than I'm used to but its not super loud. I highly recommend.

Very quiet in 'Low Cool' mode. Cools almost as well as roof RV unit, but uses a third of the power. Considering buying a second Frigidaire window a/c even though this brand has previously disappointed me. Solved annoying issue with air outlet directional rotating vent by removing the front cover and adding a small exposed Oring to each end of the plastic axle. Stays in place now even after adding silicone grease to the orings. See Green Oring in pic.

I recently ordered, and received three Frigidaire air conditioners, BTU-wise, small, medium and large. the small and medium units had been repackaged - heavily taped and strapped - to hold the contents together. There were missing hardware parts for installation. The large unit - Frigidaire 14,300 BTU - had been dropped and the entire left side of the unit was damaged. on the rear of damaged unit one anchor screw popped out from the concussion. in conclusion, the entire fulfillment and delivery experience was a complete and total fiasco.

comes packed well. has all the parts. fairly easily install. not to heavy to lift into window unless you're really weak. long cord. doesn't get very cool at all even for a small room. Coils freeze literally with ice on them overnight. Its set at 73. had to set to 68 just to get some cool air. Its kinda loud besides just the sound of air blowing. you can hear the motors %26 condenser working. It says will go to 6000 btu. I doubt that. Thought Frigidaire was better than the rest. WRONG! SAVE YOUR MONEY

heavy as heck to install and mine arrived damaged and although it still works fine it's REAL LOUD ... i knew i should've spent the extra money on a quieter unit... and the delivery driver beat the box like ace ventura when he was ups driver kicking the crap out of the package ... yeah literally mine looked like that.

pk was late at night I live in that building on the 15th for low income Tower 19 floors they left my package outside when I was told it wouldn't come to the next day and I made arrangements for it to be delivered after one in the afternoon oh my God I'm so irritated right now I'm disabled and had to go downstairs to actually have to pay somebody to help me bring it up to my apartment $20 so no I am not happy with WalMart delivery I will never use it again I wouldn't recommended to anybody that I know it is messed up I spent $290 something dollars for air conditioner two or three days ago and I put in special orders for them to call me for me to come downstairs with a car to put the air conditioner on nobody called me that just dropped it at the door and left it outside the building oh my God I am very frustrated with this whole situation and had to pay somebody $20 to help me get it to my apartment oh my God I'm just I have no words for you guys I will never ever order anything to be level for Walmart again or recommend it to anybody that I know y'all messed up

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. I was very disappointed with the large dent in the side of my air conditioner. It does do its job, but I did receive mine where it's obvious that it had been dropped prior to being put in the box. The damage was not caused in shipping. The box and packing was perfect.
