Frigidaire 8,000 BTU 115-Volt Window Air Conditioner with Heater, White, FHWH082WA1

Love this unit. Frigidaire fails to clearly say this...but this is a "real" "HEAT PUMP" A/C unit. This is our 3rd unit. We use the units in our garage apartment. Three total now and it cools and fully heats our spare 1100 sf apartment easily (very easily). ...even on the coldest winter nights in the mountains of Western North Carolina. I 100% recommend this unit. I often wonder why we have a central HVAC in our house. ...when we could have just use this thing (OK...it is a little loud...and it does take up window space. So not a good HVAC replacement - but as close as you will ever get to a HVAC replacement).

Not necessary to remove from the chassis before installing as stated in the instructions. You should install a bracket outside the window for the unit to set on. Other than these issues, all is good. Very quiet running. Would buy again if needed. Nice that is has a heater feature.

Cools great!! It is hot out but I had to try the heating to see how it did and I believe it will work great in the winter.

I purchase this 11,000 to replace my GE 12,000 BTU that has decibel run around the mid 60s plus, so I desided to release it do to the high fan noise, thinking the new 11, 000 would not be as noisey as the old GE unit, (wrong) it cools great nice heating option for winter days.

Both heating and cooling are great. Thermostat is a different story. For ac, set it at 70, sometimes it doesn't come on. Set it at 71, it comes on at 66. And it's 9 mos old. There is also a 1/4" gap between unit and housing on the bottom through which I can see daylight. Otherwise, great unit.

Received severely damaged!! Received second one and would not work. Called Frigidaire repair and they fixed it. Very unfortunate to be hot all that time.

Arrived damaged! The box was bent and the fins !!!! I bought it for my son in august for extra heat ! I’m just taking it out the box Today and I had a professional to install it !!! The heat is not heating! I’m having a time trying to figure out how to return it !

The unit arrived damaged. The side of the box next to the evaporator coil and fins had not foam or other protection. The box had been puctured resulting in the coils bent and the fins dented, rendering the unit useless.
