Years ago when I converted my carport into a garage I installed a small window with the plan of installing a window air conditioner. When a Contractor friend of mine showed me specs of the Frigidaire Through the Wall Air Unit I realized this would be exactly what I was looking for. The same contactor Friend removed and framed it the opening and installed the unit. once installed we turned it on and on a 92 degree day it cooled my garage to a comfortable 82 Degrees in about an hour. I couldn't be happier. The next morning I set it at 78 Degrees and it stayed exactly at that. I now had a Climate Controlled work area to do my projects.

Works great!

Emmy50 June 7, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had to replace my moldy a/c unit which was giving me midnight coughing fits. Clear sign to upgrade. Love the settings this unit has and it runs very smoothly. Saved me from a brutal summer without A/C or one filled with previously unknown health issues

Best AC

Mcatb June 13, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this ac to replace a Friedrich. The Frigidaire is perfect quiet and ice cold in my bedroom. Great price and perfect for the hot weather we are already having .

Frigidaire Tom July 28, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Installed for 2 weeks now. Cooling and working fine. A little concerned that no water is draining. Occasional vibration / rattle from cover. Wish it was a little quieter. Happy with the packaging, contents and materials.

Great Unit!

Fred1988 July 1, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Super easy to install, runs quietly, and cools the room quickly. What else could one ask for in an air conditioner? This is my second or third unit from Frigidaire, and I've always been very happy with the quality.

Pretty COOL!

Jessejf July 10, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from a 40 year old unit of a different brand. So I felt a lot older than I am when I was trying to figure this thing out. I love that it comes with a remote control. I just went through a major surgery and it's great that I don't have to get up and bend to change settings. A lot of things naturally come to me like when upgrading phones or something like that. These did not. I did utilize the booklet that it came with though to educate myself. It was not hard to understand. I read it once and I gathered enough knowledge to not have to flip back through. I think this would be good for any age especially older folks that love their chairs! It's easy to turn off and on and flip through settings. I do wish the words were a bit bigger and the lights to indicate what setting it is on. That is my only complaint here. This works wonderfully. It came with the parts you'd need to swap it out. You can see in this picture that the old unit was a little bigger but it came with some foam to keep it in tight and a frame too. Love it!

Works great in a big area

Mstberri August 27, 2025

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My mom purchased this and put it in the living room. We have an open floor plan. This ac really cools off the whole room. It fits nicely and was easy to put in. This AC is well worth the money she paid It has really helped to keep the house cool especially since it's been so hot where we live. I like the additional features it has. My favorite thing is the remote control.

Living room ac

Nancypas May 3, 2026

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to replace my old unit. This one is a little quieter, much smaller. I have not really used it yet since it is not hot yet. I will be loving the remote.

Weakest AC unit for studios

Naomiii July 5, 2025

Doesn't work. Had one in my studio and it blew warm air, got it replaced and still blew warm air. Replaced it AGAIN, with a higher BTU (10k) and it blows cold air but only for a couple moments then you hear some click before it “turns off” and blows room temperature air at you. Doesn't cool AT ALL, it's always hot. Very disappointed. Wish there was a way the landlord could just take it all away.

Looks Good, But Poor Drainage Causes Odor, Mold, and Rust

Mtsd July 30, 2025

While the unit has a sleek design and the concept of using the fan to spray water on the condenser to improve efficiency is smart, it has a serious flaw: it doesn't drain properly. Over time, water builds up inside and doesn't fully evaporate. This leads to: • A strong “dirty sock” smell • Mold growth • Rust on internal components Worse, the manufacturer advises not to drill a hole to help with drainage — but provides no other way to remove the stagnant water. This leaves the user with no good solution. A simple fix would be to include a removable drain plug, a tray, or a hose port, so users can empty excess water safely and easily. Until then, you're stuck with a unit that looks great but smells awful and degrades over time.
