I bought this freezer to store my overflow from the refrigerator's freezer - and it works like a charm. Just plug it in, turn it on, let it get cold (about 2 hours), and it's been running perfectly ever since. Such a relief!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I am so glad I was able to find this freezer. It works great for the additional items that won't fit in my small refrigerator freezer. I did need to figure out electrical, but one I had a good outlet it was plugged in an working amazing. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
The store easily put it in my SUV and I was able to get it out by myself by dropping it onto a thick rubber mat. With the boxing off, I was able to easily move it inside the house. Plug it in a regular plug and you are good to go! I put it in my office. It is 100% silent. It will need defrosting eventually (a year). This is really a nice piece. I love having food stored!
I recently had a baby and started freezing breast milk for my newborn. I quickly filled up my freezer and realized I needed another solution. This freezer is the perfect size to fit through a narrow staircase and go into the basement. I read reviews and trust the Frigidaire brand so it was my only choice when storing this liquid gold for my little one. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. We wanted to add a small freezer for the garage. This freezer is perfect because the inside has plenty of room for storage yet the outer dimensions do not have a huge footprint. The freezer has been working perfectly and very quiet. It looks great works great and is not expensive. I highly recommend!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
I've had this freezer for2 weeks. It is cold enough BUT I'm getting a frost on side where the lid is not closing tight. I tested it with a piece of paper and it doesn't seal tightly on the side in question. Where do I go to get this solved [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Works good so far but when I purchased I needed it asap as my old one failed. When I got it home upacked and there was a dent in lower left corner but had to keep so my food would not spoil as it was defrosting from old freezer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
This freezer has been working well. No complaints other than the original packaging. When I got the unit home and unpacked it, there were an assortment of dents on the outside. Just cosmetic, but clearly the packaging was insufficient to protect the unit in transit to the store. The unit is fairly deep, so organization and finding things at the bottom can be a challenge. Maybe some more wire baskets would help. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
original purchase Dec.20,2020 of FFFC05M2UW 5 cu ft chest freezer had to be replaced because lid did not seal at either end , chest top contact surface was concave in center at both ends. Replacement freezer on Jan 19, 2021 had gap on one end as well but personal inspection of lid & chest top surfaces revealed they were flat & parallel. Found back left hinge not set properly, was able to adjust properly & after 2 tries got complete lid sealed properly. Not impressed with workmanship at assembly of either unit. Hoping it performs better than first impression.
Not impressed! My 1-year limited warranty has barely just expired and the green power-on indicator light has gone out. Surprising since it is supposed to be an LED bulb. The freezer still works, but it is going to cost quite a bit to have this fixed. I am not paying for the freezer twice! The chest freezer sits at the bottom of my basement stairs, so the light was handy for a quick glance at the top of the stairs. I now have to go downstairs each day and open the lid the ensure that it is still working.
