Frigidaire FHWC282WB2 Window Air Conditioner with 28000 Cooling BTU in White

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This unit does what it says it will do. Our 2000 sq ft space is cooled very well with this ac unit. It is a bit on the loud side but its cooling offsets that minor downside in a big way. No complaints. Water draining is somehow more difficult than we expected but will try and tilt more if possible to provide better drainage of rainwater.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Some reviews stated that the plug is European but that is not right. The plug is called a 30 amp Tandem and if your 220 volt outlet is not the 230 volt outlet then all you have to do is change the outlet and the cover. It's pretty much a DYI if you have any electrical knowledge at all. You can change out the outlet in 15 minutes or leas. This outlet and cover plate is available at the big box stores and will run you less than 20 bucks. This AC unit will run on a 20 amp dedicated circuit. ie: my old breaker is a 220v 20 amp. Because the AC unit draws way below 20 amps all you have to do is replace the outlet with the Tandem configuration. Make sure you turn off the breaker before attempting to change out the outlet. If you don't feel comfortable working with electricity then hire an electrician to change out the outlet. I installed my AC unit through the wall. Their dimensions are very accurate, just make sure the opening is square.
