I'm a cheese lover n I make my own blue cheese dressing which is really good. I have bought chunky blue cheese dressing n it's okay. When I make mine I like it real chunky then I add a few pinches of Italian seasoning to it. The store that was a few mins from is gone for good. So I have to order my blue cheese from another store. I tried this blue cheese n it's good, so now I order it for my salads. The ingredients, calcium n it's creamy are all good. I even use the blue cheese on my toasted bread for my blt's n it taste great. So if your a far for good blue cheese crumbles this is the one to try n buy. It's price is good n worth it n I recommend it.
I don't purchase this flavor of cheese often but the last few times I have this brand has been the cheapest. That being said it tastes as good as other brands. Stuff this in some boneless chicken breast and wrap it with bacon and grill it in foil. Wonderful!
We had this last night on our rib-eye steaks and it was really good. I'm saving the rest for stuffed mushroom caps later this week. Will mix with some cream cheese, a little garlic and a drop of Worchesterire and broil a panful.
Great sprinkled in a green leafy salad, with apples, red onion, walnuts, and light Ken's Italian Dressing sprinkled with coarse black pepper and a whole pepperoncini pepper. Oh and a few tasty croutons!
I love blue cheese sandwiches with butter on pumpernickel or dark rye bread. I remember it from my childhood and I intend to be good to me and indulge a lot more often!!
I DECIDED TO TRY THIS FRIGO CRUMBLED BLUE CHEESE 5 OZ. BUT, THE CRUMBS WAS TOO FINE AND VERY LITTLE CHUNKS. I USUALLY PURCHASE THE MARKET SIDE BLUE CHEESE WEDGE 4 OZ WHICH IS A SOLID THAT YOU CAN CUT THE CHUNKS TO YOUR DESIRE. THIS WAS UNAVAILABLE SO I PURCHASE THE FRIGO WHICH IS NOT IT FOR ME.
This blue is must not be aged enough. When I make blue cheese dressing it cannot even stand up to the mayonnaise and vinegar I put it into. I'm going to try the gorgonzola next time.
The only thing "blue" is the plastic container. Cheese is white, with a few TINY gray spots (start of mold growth?). Needs to be aged more. Taste and texture are uninspiring, like a salty chunky eraser. Taste doesn't have any sharp tang. Could also be creamier.
I ordered this product so I could use it to make my home made blue cheese dressing. I was a little suspicious of the appearance of the cheese product, but discounted it. I made my dressing and when it came time to use it I was really extremely disappointed. It came nowhere near tasting of blue cheese. What I have, instead, is a creamy mayonnaise dressing sans the blue cheese. What a galactic let down. Won't ever buy this again...EVER.
The product was fine in the past but it was delivered warm so the taste and texture were terrible. The value for the price was terrible because it had to be thrown away
