Absolutely amazing product. Used this in my Turtles tank with live fish... Tried treating for tapeworms forever... Couldn't find a solution until I found this. Not specifically for turtles. but sprinkling this in the tank along with your normal fish and turtle food helped kill the tapeworms without having to completely remove all the fish and clean everything. It will take several different treatments over a few weeks. Make sure to turn off any filters and remove and activated carbon as they will reduce or eliminate the effectiveness of the treatment. This will not kill any tapeworm eggs already existing in your tank. It only kills live tapeworms that have already been ingested and have begun to grow. Tapeworm eggs are extremely difficult to eliminate, as they are resistant to chemical treatments like alcohol, and bleach. If you've discovered you have tapeworms. I've found the best way to treat them... is to allow your fish and other aquatic pets to expell as much of the worm as possible through bowel movements... if possible remove detached worm segments (eggs). Then treat with their normal feedings, and allow several days to pass. Do this for 2 to 4 weeks depending on how many fish or whatever you're treating you have. Unless you're also adding treatment. I wouldn't feed them much, or at all. This ensures they are taking the medicine when you add it with food. Feed %26 treat, then wait %26 repeat... This is not a quick process, but it works and I didn't have to completely clean and sanitize my tank. I bought 2 because I wasn't sure it was gonna work... I used maybe half of the first box in my 75 gallon aquarium... Totally worth every penny... and I could probably treat at least another 3 or 4 outbreaks.
it helped my Oscar
Used as directed. I've been keeping fish since 1971. I don't usually use any medications but I needed something. Within 3 days My complete biological cycle crashed. And it crashed fast I went to work came home My tank was down My fish were dying I lost probably 14 platy, molly and I'm desperately trying to remove this from my aquarium using large water changes and large amounts of charcoal I think they might survive but what torture for them to have lived through I'm not sure how many more I'm going to lose as the days go by.
I used two treatments exactly like the directions suggested. My assorted cichlids are still parasitic.
