I was skeptical about this working lol but let me tell you! the nasty smell coming from my Window AC is gone! Now I did spray the foam and use the little scrub lid 3x just because of how dirty my window AC was! but the results are impressive!
My HVAC desperately needed to be cleaned. I watched a few videos and my son and I used this product to help wash away some of the grime and build up. It worked great!! I didn't use the scrubber on top but it is a nice feature. I did buy two cans because I knew one probably would not be enough. I would definitely recommend this product and will use it the next time! The price was great too!
I have been purchasing this foaming cleaner for years to clean both my HVAC condensers as well as my Automobile condenser. It is very effective at cleaning and deodorizing the coils without using harsh chemicals. I clean my outdoor HVAC condensing unit each year before summer heat starts. I start by rinsing with a garden hose then remove the top fan cover by removing the screws all around, then spraying this coil cleaner generously both inside and outside; let it sit for about 5 mins or so and then rinse it off with garden hose ensuring no fins are bent during this process. I was surprised how much dirt and debris is trapped inside those fins...very satisfying to know you are increasing the AC's efficiency. On my Automobiles, I spray this through the AC condensation drain tube which is typically located under the car right behind the engine firewall...its a black tube that drips water when the AC is ON. Spray into this coil cleaner with a tube until it cannot take more; then block the tube with a stopper for about 5 mins and then let it drain completely....you will be amazed to see so much gunk come out. it not only cleans your evaporator coil but also deodorizes your air blowing out of your vents.
Our 4year old portable air conditioner had a horrible smell when on, I drained it but still had that bad smell. I actually started looking around for a dead mouse. When I determined there was no mouse, I did some research. I watched videos and read HVAC blogs, when I was satisfied the coils need cleaned, I found this product at Walmart. Came home from work poured myself a glass of wine, got my thesaurus so I had a variety of swear words at hand then took the unit to the front porch. I instantly found out I could not remove the vented casing to get to the coils as the video showed, (Glad I had that thesaurus) so I shook the can and sprayed into the vent that covered the coils and hoped for the best. I let it sit for about a half hour, then plugged it in and I'm thrilled to report the smell is gone. It has been replaced with a nice citrus fragrance. I thought I was going to have to replace the whole unit, but this can of coil cleaner saved me hundreds of dollars. I do recommend it.
No chemical smell, fast and effective. What more could you ask for? It's also priced right. Most importantly, however, is the pressure was enough to force the foam into the fins for deep cleaning, but not so forceful as to cause too much overspray everywhere. Three-quarters of a can did a small 8000-btu unit, so a single can should do a room-size 1000-btu unit just fine.
Worked well. Got the debris on the outside lose by spraying on the inside. The foam expands and loosens the debris and pushes it out of the fins. Only required using the supplied brush in one spot and it also straightened some bent over fins. Will purchase again for next years A/c maintenance.
I received some BIG 19 oz. cans of Frost Ki g and some small 19 oz. cans. yes, both cans of different sizes say 19oz. ?? someone's lieing. zoom in to see ounces.
planned a trip down south and wanted to clean my car coils. i thought id have room from the bottom to get this cleaner on the coils but couldn't. sprayed it through the openings let it sit and washed it out. it seemed to work well for what i could access. didn't do anything to the paint.
I did not get Frost King product, instead was send a generic coil cleaner, very disappointed. And it came from Home Depot not Walmart. Will not be doing this again. I would give 0 stars if I could
It was a good value for the price, but it doesn't smell good, It smells horrible, it's just a cleaner not a deodorizing and cleaner that's why this one is cheap, but I was trying to get rid of that mold smell in my mini split and it didn't do anything at all whatsoever
