I have a 1991 Jaguar XJ6 Sovereign which I think was just built one year. It has a different fuel tank system. It has to keep pressure in the tank at all times a regular cap will not do that. This cap here does that and they are hard to find. Some people will tell you any cap will work that's wrong. Parts Geek had the cap in stock. Good company Thanks guys.

Buying this cap was an excellent decision. The Check Engine light went on and my scanner told me there was a leak problem in the fuel system. I read on the internet about these cases, and someone said it could be problems in the gas tank cap. Done !!!! it was that. Problem solved. !!

Failed my emissions test because the gasket on my old gas cap was worn out. This one fit snugly and passed the test.
