My Snapscan has been a life saver. I fell behind on my companies book keeping and needed to scan in 7 months of receipts and classify things in our QuickBooks. It saved me days.
It's fast and easy to use Scans multiple pages flawlessly My only problem was that my desktop is still using windows 7 and was upgraded to 10. The scanner still didn't like it and wouldn't let me scan to email. I used my laptop and it all works well.
I've been wanting to buy one of these for a long time. It's the best, and there's nothing else that compares. Using a flat bed printer scanner combo device is so slow and usually comes with terrible software. Knocked out 2 days worth of scanning in ten minutes with this thing. I love it.
We wanted a scanner to be easy to interface with and be mobile to use at a job site. The software is very easy to use and renaming scans was a breeze. What we had done the previous year of slow scanning and using our phones was a nightmare and took 5 times more to complete the task. A life saver
Been using this scanner for multiple boxes of business records and it is amazing. Easy to set up the hardware and software, fast scanning with no jams so far except for human error loading. Very pleased with the overall performance and ease of use. I'm sure this has saved me many hours of work.
I have had a ScanSnap in the past but when I recently purchased a Mac Mini M4 Pro I decided to purchase the iX1600. It works well and I am very pleased.
The scanner is very fast in both scanning documents. Would like more flexibility with the Windows software as to be more flexible where I save the scanned images.
It is quiet as a mouse and smooth as silk while scanning. It is also lightening quick. My boss got one for my desk, he is getting himself one as well.
I had a smaller SnapScan that was simple and easy to use. I got the larger one to keep track of more papers, like receipts. All the directions for setup and use were online and difficult for me to follow. It took a while, but I got it working. However, after a few days, it was disconnected from the computer, and just by trying a few things, I got it working again. Not sure what I did. That's a bit frustrating. The scanner works great, but it's the directions that were hard.
I bought this scanner specifically for use with a SMB network share. Unfortunately, in the year 2025, this scanner only supports SMBv1, which presents a huge security risk. SMBv2 is minimally acceptable, but SMBv3 should be the standard. For this reason alone, I returned the scanner quite disappointed.
