Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500

I knew it would be good, but I was still blown away with how fast it is. I can scan as much in 10 minutes with the Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500 as I could in an hour on a 2008 mid range all-in-one Brother printer/scanner. I have created a pdf as large as 150 sheets by doing multiple ADF tray loads and had no problems whatsoever. Sometimes if left turned on before it goes to sleep, the wifi sporadically and disconnects resulting in a notification at the top of my MacBook Pro screen (a feature I don't want to disable). It allows me to scan directly to Evernote. It also has text recognition which is somewhat slow, and I had difficulty trying to get it to read another language (so far Latin and Arabic) which resulted in a long time for text recognition. Since it was taking so long I jut opted to skip it. I haven't used text-recognition too much so maybe I just need to download more languages or something.

We had purchased several of these scanners for our business through our IT partners. When we added staff and had additional need it was impossible to get a better price than we found at WalMart. The product arrived as expected per the shipping dates shown when ordering and they work perfectly.

I love my new scanner! Such a time saver at work! My old ScanSnap worked great but wouldn't work with my new operating system. My accountant recommended I get this scanner. I thought, "Why? My scanner works perfectly fine." But once I set up the Fujitsu ScanSnap iX500, I knew why he recommended it! This thing scans lightning fast, handles multiple copies flawlessly, and scans single- or double-sided. Best of all, a window pops up and allows you to email your scan effortlessly. I used to have to save my scans as a PDF, then open my email program, and attach the PDF to an email. This scanner can connect wirelessly with multiple computers, so it can be shared in our office. Another plus! This machine is a game-changer, it makes scanning and sending documents so fast! Very pleased with purchase. My only wish is that it were a little easier to set up the first time. This scanner is high speed and scans both sides of the sheet in one pass. Extremely compact so fits even on the smaller desks. Would purchase again in a heartbeat. I bought this scanner in order to scan information for tracking my family's genealogy. It even scans both sides of photos (you know how folks love to write on the backs of them). The scan path is almost straight, so it doesn't put a strain on old photos. I just need to watch closer for documents that are stapled - the feeder grabs one page, and the staple pulls the second sheet over, crinkling them both. As long as I remove all staples, this scanner is the best one that I have ever seen. And it scans quickly. My only regret is that it can't accept paper wider than 8.5". I have a few documents that are a bit wider that I will need to scan another way.

This is the best desk top scanner I've had. It scans virtually everything without issue.

Great product but Jet.com order shipping was not good as expectation and their ad. order package was not delivered on time( package was shipped out after I contacted the customer service; it was after the due date for estimated delivery schedule) and the product was delivered with original box as shipping carton that made the original box bad condition during the transportation(or it was already that condition from their stock) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Amazingly fast; good interface; doesn't misfeed or have any problems with clarity of scanning. Lots of options available in software. Pricy but so worth the money.
