It was great. Smooth too

A smooth, non bitter espresso. We prepared it using the espresso machine. Good in a mocha and as a cappuccino. This is one we want to order a full bag of!

This one gets 5 stras from me, what I love is that it is so bold but not bitter at all in a cappuccino. Iit is hard to find a bean that holds its boldness once milk is added, but this one does! Without the bitterness.

From 2 stars to 4! I initially tried this roast in 04/16 and was not impressed. It smelled like a bad roast batch, and certainly tasted the same way. However I was sent another sampler and behold, I was impressed! Smoky, chocolaty, earthy flavor--all of which are among my favorite notes and flavors.

A good casual blend. A bit on the simpler side, bold flavor but not as complex. If you prefer more basic espresso tastes this may be one for you. Not my favorite but still a good coffee.

Tried this a variety of ways-- drip. chemex, french press. Very smooth and velvety. This isn't my typical, preferred flavor profile in a espresso but I liked it a great deal. Would order again.

I like chocolate. A lot. However, this coffee might be a bit too chocolatey for my tastes. It definitely delivers on its promise, but I personally felt the chocolate overtones thoroughly overpowered the taste of the coffee itself, and I missed having any of the lighter notes that I usually love.

Not the best. Has a fair amount of chocolate and cocoa powder but doesn't stand up as much as some other beans I've used. Has a flavor that almost tastes like dirt, and a little bit of funk sort of like Jamaican rum every time brewed French Press. Aeropress came out a little better; maybe bad batch?

Big body, big on flavor. A bit dark for me for an espresso --- received it in Bean Box's subscription for espresso machines. Not sure if I'd recommend they send this out for that style preference again.
