My vet recommended this by name and it was a miracle: my 26 year old mare has had terrible runs the last few winters (a typical age issue) and this resolved it completely. Worth the price!
I bought this direct from the manufacturer and then found out i could add to my smartpak. First horse show with zero diarrhea this weekend. Definitely took 30 days to work and added a scoop to his dinner as well and he kept the most beautiful stall all weekend. Thank you fullbucket!
My gelding has had digestive issues since he sand colicked 6 years ago. He used to have runny manure all the time. For a while after his colic, we had him on the full bucket pastes, which worked well, but they are so expensive. While this product is still very expensive, it has helped my boy more than I can put into words. For that I am so thankful. Even my vet is amazed by how much it has helped him!
So far it has helped my girl i'm praying it stays that way.
This was recommended by 2 vets. My mare absolutely would not eat it mixed with her dinner mash. She would cautiously eat it mixed with a handful of dry grain. Then she was cautious about her mash. I don't have time for that. So going back to SP Digest Ultra which she has no problem with. And yes, I tried giving half a serving for a few days. She just does not like the taste.
My two horses really didn't like this probiotic pellet. My older mare refused to eat it each time I mixed it in feed. My younger mare chewed her feed & lost most of it on the ground. Something about it turned them both off! I ended up giving it away to a friend hoping she would have better luck. I was hoping to use it cause it was vet recommended.
I had a broodmare undergo colic surgery recently and the clinic recommended the Full Bucket Probiotic Pellets for her. She not only wouldn't touch the supplement, she wouldn't take one bite of her grain with the supplement in it. I tried giving it to another mare who also said no thank you. I'm sure it's a quality product because I do use the Full Bucket Foal Probiotics, and Smartpak did refund my money so I appreciate that, but I can't say I recommend this product since two different horses wouldn't eat one bite of it.
