Fun World Renasissance Lady Halloween Fancy-Dress Costume for Adult, Women's Plus Size

I was under the impression that I was paying a bit too much for a some what poorly made costume in a plastic bag. However, I was very surprised when the costume arrived. The costume is very well constructed and sewed. It's polyester, but feels very much like velvet to the touch. It's very floaty and a light crinoline/ tulle slip can be added to give the skirt some fullness if desired. The color is beautiful and the gold trim and accents really make the dress. Well worth the money. Sizing is important. This dress does not give so make sure you double check your dress size before ordering. If you're short like me you may find yourself hemming the skirt. (note: I do sew so this wasn't a problem for me) I paired my costume up with period-like costume jewelry, hair jewelry and slipper shoes. Over all, this is great costume for what ever you're into; Halloween, LARP, stage acting, Medieval/ Renaissance fairs, etc.

I am very impressed with this costume. It's very good quality for the price. The arms aren't tight on me and I'm a size 20. It is a couple inches too short, but I'm 5'10" so that's not unusual. I would think a size 22, maybe even 24 could fit comfortably in this dress.

I purchased this for a local Renaissance Festival and was not disappointed. The price was right. The costume is very pretty.

Loved wearing this so much. I forget what the sizing was but I knew I was on the lower end of the several sizes it said. I'm an 18, sometimes a 20, but mostly an 18, and this fit a little big on me. It was an easy fix to fold over the neckline and pin down with a brooch, and I let the front tie be a little loose. I probably could have cinched it up almost all the way so there was no criss cross pattern but I wanted it to show. It was still flattering and it was fun to wear. It's a bit sheer, but I didn't feel the need to wear a slip or clothes underneath. If I had to walk across a brightly lit stage, I'd probably wear something under it. My size 18 arms (XL in shirts) were comfortable with enough room. I'm about 5' 6" and it hung at a perfect length to where it flowed perfectly when I walked. I may have had to lift the front to go up a step, but it was the perfect length for me. I wore to a child's princess party where we dressed as princesses and it looked like I rented a costume. I loved this so much I had to come write a review a month later. It even arrived earlier than expected.

I was surprised at the quality of the fabric & design. It was not flimsy as some costumes tend to be. Overall, I was pleased with the product for the price.

I figure it will be cold at night on Halloween, so I wanted a long sleeve, long dress outfit that was classy & pretty. My costume arrived in the mail today, I'm so happy, it is beautiful & fits very well. In fact it's a little big on me, which is fine, I prefer that over tight so I don't look like a hot mess. It is a very soft velvety material too. As far as sizing goes for others reading my comment, I think it's more helpful to know what My size is; I usually wear 14/16 pants & X-Large or 14/16 tops. I'm a 40 DDD, approx. 203lbs & approx. 5'7" tall. The length is fine for me, I don't need to hem it, it fits fine in the sleeves & I have room, it's not tight at all. The sleeves are a bit long, but they're supposed to be in this type of outfit, plenty of room in the chest area too & with the strings I can still tighten it. It's not designed to be a chest revealing outfit, so even if I made it super tight, nothing is going to spill over. I want to be comfortable & be able to breathe anyway. :) Now I just want to crash a bunch of Halloween parties so I can show it off! Maybe I'll go to a Renaissance Fair in the spring with it too!

I normally wear a size 16 dress and this fit me perfectly; the sleeves were fine. The lacing on the front allows you to customize the fit, and there was enough of it that I used some of it as ribbon for the braids I made in my wig. The quality and design exceeded my expectations, especially since I ordered it online.

The size given is not accurate. The bag the costume came in said size 16W-24W, which is accurate. The costume was great except for the sleeves. The sleeves from the elbow to the shoulder were too tight. I had to take it to a tailor to alter the sleeves. I will shop here again for costumes.

Great costume at a reasonable price. Was expecting something poorly constructed and cheap but this was fairly well made. It is thin, but that is great for Florida Halloweens. I am a size 20-22 regular (18-20W) and this fit well. Covers large bosom well and gives a bit of shape with how it's cut. Highly recommend a slip or other under-cover as this is a thin to the point of being sheer gown.

This was a good costume. A little bit see-through as I felt it was better to wear some capris underneath. I'm 5'11 and a size 16 and this fit me just fine. I had no issues with the arms as others said they did. It was a little short on me, but I'm tall and used to that. It wasn't a big deal. I work at an elementary school and it is a very modest dress that suited my workplace well. I really feel that overall, for the money spent, it was a really good dress to wear as a costume.
