Fun family game.

We sat down as a family to play this board game. 4 of us total. I feel like it's more fun with 3 or more players BUT the game only calls for 2 or more players. We enjoyed this game! You have to really pay attention while playing the game but once you figure it out it's cool. You can easily navigate your way where you need to go to get the ghost cards in different rooms BUT if you wonder the endless hallway everytime you move your opponents move and it could end up benefitting them more than you in the end. It's fun. If you like board games and the movie the pieces make it even more fun. Give it a go!

I'm a 51 year old. Me and my two sons that are ages 14 and 17 enjoyed the game a lot. At first reading the directions it seemed like it would be complicating but that is usually how it is with a new game. It is challenging but not hard to figure out. There's are action cards as pictured below, that tell you the steps you can make in your turn. You can perform three different actions during your turn. First player changes clockwise every round. You collect ghost cards to build your score. You don't want haunt cards. You can try to steal someones ghost card. If the points are tied at the end of the game then the person with the most ghost cards wins. Watch out for the hitchhiking ghosts. We had a lot of fun.

If you are a fan of anything Disney and the Haunted Mansion, then this game is for you. The graphics on the board are bright and hauntingly beautiful. The instructions are somewhat complex to understand, and I would recommend this game for ages 10 and up. It reminds me of the game Clue. Adults would also find this game interesting enough. My family are huge Disney fans so we were really excited to try out this Haunted Mansion game. I found this game to be pretty complicated to start out. I tend to not like to have to read and understand a lot to get started in a game, but this game definitely requires some reading and thinking. The instructions are as big as the box and 8 pages long. There is even a video showing how to play it, which seems like a lot of effort just to play a game. So needless to say, our first time playing took awhile and it wasn't overly fun because there was a lot of learning to do just to play the game. There are a ton of ghost cards and each one scores different points or does something special. It's a lot to remember and reference while playing. It really took us playing this game multiple times over a couple days to get the hang of it. It can be fun once you learn how to play, but it takes awhile to get there. I tend to like straightforward games with not a lot of instructions, so it's not my cup of tea but my 9 year old really enjoyed it.

This Funko games Disney haunted mansion call of the spirits game is a little bit confusing and hard to play at first that makes it seem very boring but once you get the hang of it it's a good game board to spend the time. This game resembles the haunted mansion movie which replicates the mansion. It's comes with the little figurines cards to be able to play the game . Overall it's a good game but in the beginning it is a bit confusing to play with.

I wanted to love this game…my husband and I are HUGE Disney fans and we adore all things Disney; but, this game is complicated to say the very least! The age recommendation is 8 and up; huh?! My husband and I played it, and we are two educated adults who love board games, and this one took us a while to figure out. We needed up looking on the internet for video tutorial to help us, and ultimately felt like the person explaining the game didn't understand it well either! I will say that after we figured it out we enjoyed playing it, but that the complexity of the game stole a lot of the fun of the game. That aside, the colors used for the game are vibrant, the game pieces were a fun nod to the ride we enjoy so much, and the hitchhiking ghosts made it interesting! If you don't mind a complex board game then go for it, but if you aren't crazy about complicated it's not for you. And it's definitely not for kids, unless several adults are aiding in the game play. Overall, I'm on the fence about whether I would recommend.

I returned this game. The directions are not clearly written, its very complicated to try and understand. I was expecting better from Disney. I dont know how its listed for ages 8 , three adults and two children couldnt make heads or tails from this game. It's pretty, but that's about the only positive I can give it. We love board games, and have a regular family game night every friday - Disney dropped the ball on this one.
