I got for my 8 year old Boston Terrier, we have a high bed and he's been struggling jumping that high lately. The cat won't let him near it, he thinks it's his. lol I'm still trying to train the dog to use the stairs, without the cat in the room. My 2 Mastiffs aren't a fan of the stairs.
Sturdy and easy to put together. My puppies loved chewing the bottom step. They did a lot of damage so if you have chewers you will want to add a step protector or do something proactive. I also used my rechargeable Dyson to vacuum, don’t. The material is not designed for strong suction. It will stay looking great if you use a hand broom to sweep. I just purchased two more, we have four little dogs. It is very bad for small dogs to jump off furniture. We were told by our vet that it will cause arthritis in their joints so these steps are worth every penny.
I bought the 4 step in brown. Very easy to put together. Not only does my cat use it, but it’s a great looking piece of furniture. I liked these stairs so much , after I put the brown one together, I ordered another one in cream . One in my bedroom and one in my living room. If your looking for pet stairs, this is the one. Very happy with my purchase. Was delivered early too. Love these stairs.
This is better quality and stronger than you would think. The assembly hardware is actually large bolts with an allen head and I think that is in part why it is so strong once assembled. To many things come with cheap hardware these days. The allen wrench for assembly is included. I put a lot of torque to the hardware and nothing stripped or twisted loose. It came with the exact amount of bolts needed and very good instructions. If you are wondering how strong it is I weight 178lbs. and walked up it without it failing or creaking. I like to test things so this is something I wouldn't recommend you do as it's not intended to be used as a step stool by a person or designed for that kind of constant weight. The aging cats seem to like it.
Its easy to put together and is sturdy. Before my dog couldnt get on the bed so she'd wake me up multiple times a nighy screaming at me to put her on the bed. Now she gets on the bed whenever she wants and I get to sleep.
My bed is about 30 inches from ground up and the top step fit perfectly on top but unfortunately my dogs were too afraid to use it. They are small dogs and about 12 years old so not sure why they were afraid but they were.
Dogs like it and that's what's important. My husband got pinched twice when he was putting it together so be careful. It looks nice and even our tiny chihuahua uses it.
I really like it for my little girl, a 5 1/2 lb YorkiePoo. She can zip up to the bed in a flash, that is great for this older mom to not have to get out of bed to lift her up when she simply must get up! She often remembers she left a chew bone on the floor in the living room and she really, really needs to go back to get it for bed! My only complaint is the degree of slant is much too short for her to go back down. She cannot get her feet to the next step going down before she is tumbling down head first, because the next steps are steep with a narrow portion of the next step down not giving enough room for the back of her body to get on. I hope I am making sense, she is afraid after several tumbles all the way down. It is worrisome because to get down, she has to make a big leap off the bed. It is a big jump for a little one to make, I constantly worry that she will fracture something. That is my one and only complaint, I do like the stairs, I would buy it again, hoping one day we might find that problem resolved. It was very easy for this senior to put together and Daisy liked it from the first.
very good quality and sturdy. I can only speak to how it works for a small Chihuahua. it took him a while before he was even willing to touch it but now he goes up and down it with ease. it's perfect for what we needed it for.
Had purchased this brand several years ago and was very pleased with it. However, I'm very disappointed with the recent purchase as it has been cheapened overall. Not as sturdy %26 smaller in size than as stated. My cat isn't a fan either. Won't purchase this brand again.
