If you just need a cheap 3 tier shelf for DVDs or light paperback books then this is a good option. The overall sturdiness is rather weak for a shelf, but will do its job just fine. I was completely thrown off guard by the plastic push-in lock pins (which is why I think the overall build is a little weak), but they are relatively easier to install (using a regular 12oz hammer and light progressive taps. The manual is not as helpful as I would have liked. Make sure all colored boards are facing the right way you want them to be BEFORE tapping in those plastic pins (its a slight pain with unnecessary stress having to force-pry them out using hands and feet) I use it for my anime DVD collection and can fit about 18 DVDs on 1 shelf (with room to stack horizontally on top 3 extra DVDs) to give you an idea about how many possible DVDs you can store in it. On another shelf are 5 DBZ full season Brick DVD sets 9 DVDs with 3 stacked horizontally on top
I've gotten 3 of these. Very easy to put together. I myself took longer than the 30 minutes. But I was taking my time. Very good shelves.
It was what it said it was and it will function for a shoe storage beside my back door to keep shoes out of the way. I was able to assemble it in about 5 minutes.
First of all you WILL need a hammer to pound in the white screw things. Tried doing with hands. Nope. Just pay attention to the sides and where the holes are placed. I put BOTH of mine together wrong and it can't be fixed. The white plastic screws are permanently into the particle board. Also be careful with the flimsy piece of cardboard that serves as the back of the shelves. It has a fold down the middle (to fit in the box I suppose?) and mine tore on that fold. Has to tape it up. But for $23 each, they get the job done. I will just spray paint the sides that I put on backwards. The instruction do show where the sides with holes go. I just didn't catch it. Needs better instructions, not just pictures !!!
Reasonably priced well designed matches other pieces well. Sturdy enough just a bit wobbly. Matching cardboard back gives more stability for longevity. I like it!
This is good for cheap shelving. There are a few screws that won't go in all the way, so they stick out awkwardly. Makes it a tiny bit unstable due to that. Otherwise, it's a decent shelf for small, lightweight stuff.
You cannot assemble this No Tool Bookshelf unless you have a forehead make of cast iron. You are gonna need a hammer.... but be careful, once you hammer the plastic crap screws in, you cannot get them out without brutal force. Awful construction. Looks ok for the money. I guess.....
Dont and read my review!! The shelves are sooo tiny, nothing normal fits there..Plastic screws?! You cant turn them with a screwdriver. You have to hammer them in. The bookcase is NOT sturdy, there are gaps that will not close, the back that covers the back of the shelf dont match up with the wholes.. If you dont put the back on the shelves they are so wobbly...I bought 4 and after all of this I am going to throw them out and buy them from Home Depot where the quality is 100% better! Never ever will I buy this brand again. I am so angry to have wasted my money
This is the jankyist piece of junk I have bought in a long time. The three shelf cabinet is very wobbly. The holes to the back panel are close to lining up with the ones on the shelf, close but they dont so when you put in the fake plastic nails it rips the board on the back. It says no tools needed however using all my weight I could not get the plastic fasteners even half way in and had to use a hammer. I would not buy again.
This is an all around bad product. It is so cheaply made that it half falls apart while putting it together. The shelves are way smaller than they look in the picture and don't even fit a standard size cube. Save your money and go to Target.
