I bought this cat as a gift for my 5 year old cousin. I had to keep it in my apartment for 2 weeks before giving it to her so I essentially got to try it out first. The cat is very receptive to movement and light changes. Meowing was often, but it grew on me. It's expressions are cute and it has moving eyebrows! I'd recommend for any kid that loves animals!
Very cute and soft kitty. I got it for my 5 year old granddaughter for Christmas. I think she is going to love it.
My daughter absolutely loved this for her 5th birthday! For as we can't have a real kitty she really loves all the features this play cat has to offer. From the purring, hissing, and the cute happiness it sings out, she loves it.
What an amazing toy! It was a purrfect gift for my 5year old cat loving granddaughter!
They have not received their gifts yet. However, I am having a blast watching my cats wonder what is meowing to them under the tree.
Very nice, I bought this for a birthday gift . It purrs, it meows, moves head, eye lashes, and ears, I'm sure my niece is going to love it.
In the end, my 9yr/o loves this toy. Yes, it arrives hissing and meowing, loud, so be careful if it's intended for a gift. I managed to place it inside another box w/stuffing, wrap it up and place it under the tree w/out incident. But if moved, if will make sounds. So if you have a gift box shaker, you better wait, lol. It wasn't until it was opened that we figured out how to shut if off (switch is beneath the tail, under the fur, by the butt area). Any movement around it sets it off, which can become annoying . It's basically as shown, movement and all, although I'm like several of the other reviewers and wished it had some cushion to it. But my daughter hasn't complained about the feel of it and that's who the toy is intended for. The fur covering it is soft and fluffy, but it's so "hard" underneath. Seems sturdy enough.
I purchased this toy as a gift to my granddaughter who love cats, she love it, everywhere she go bootsie is right there. It is easy to operate even for an 18 month old. Also durable as it gets tossed around a lot. Gra
This item is I suppose realistic... But is very vocal. The cat makes a lot of cat noises and is far more noisy than the 4 real cats I have combined. It is driving me crazy every time I go anywhere near it. Luckily, I purchased it as a gift for my nephew. I am thankful it will soon be out of my house. That being said... my nephew's cat recently passed away which was the idea behind his mom asking for this gift and I think my nephew will absolutely love it! It will help fill that void where he's missing his kitty. But I think there needs to be some happy medium for everyone to maintain sanity and I don't believe this toy captured it. I'm sure (or at least hoping) there's an off switch, but if so, it appears to be under the cat or somewhere that is tethered to the packaging, so we have no way to turn it off and have to suck it up until Christmas. I just keep thinking of how happy my nephew will be and hope the batteries don't run out before then.
We ordered this cat for my grand daughter and when I picked it up at the store the girl at the courtesy desk warned me that if I was going to keep this cat at my house it would drive us crazy very quickly. THAT WAS NOT AN EXAGERATION! This thing never shut up. We put it in the bag in the closet and it would start meowing and make noise every time we walked by the closet. Any vibration or movement set it off meowing and purring. I even took it out of the package to turn the switch off but couldn't find the switch it was supposed to have. When I took it back to store I was standing in line at the return desk and people kept looking at me because the stupid cat wouldn't shut up. I would never do anything to hurt a real cat, but this cat I wanted to beat with a sledge hammer. Unless you're totally deaf and can't hear it, don't buy this thing. It'll drive you absolutely batty!
