This was my first sushi mat. I never rolled sushi before. I believe two things are required to roll sushi, first, dampen the mat with water and, two, roll with the seaweed against the mat not rice. You can get a decently tight roll. Obviously, using sticky rice is better but Jasmine was good enough for me. I probably could have purchased this mat at an Asian store for a few dollars but I am okay with the price I paid for it here on Walmart.com. Was this a good sushi mat. I have no idea. I have no other experience with sushi mats. Would I buy it again? Maybe.

There is nothing better out there to make sushi rolls than this little rolling matt. They come out nice and evenly sized. You get a few in the deal, easy clean up. Just a little secret my Asian friend shared, drop a little sugar in the rice and it helps it stick together real nice!

We were teaching ourselves how to do sushi rolls and it was recommended to use bamboo mats. We covered them in glad wrap to roll the sushi and they worked really well on the rolls we made. I recommend trying them.

Arrived well packaged and as described. Super easy to use which makes food prep go smoother. I've been wanting these roll mats so I'm glad I finally gave it a try.
