This product is great quality. Great beginner set for a family just starting out in an apartment or first home. The quality of the knives is great. The material is strong and durable. Cuts through meat and vegetables with ease. The design of the block is simple and classy, I love that it doesn't have any words on it. One random thing is that the box says a 14 pcs set when it's advertised as 13. So I got what was advertised. Maybe it's counting the knife sharpener as a piece. Which is a great addition I must say.

I bought this set purely for my goth-themed kitchen, intending to put the all-black knives on my own magnetic block. But the matching block it came with is so stunning in person, I kept it right on my counter! We're huge culinary nerds—my husband is a professional chef—so we own $200 knives. Honestly? These cut just as amazingly for everyday use. Tested the first cut on tomato shown in the pictures. Plus, having each knife labeled on the handle is a subtle touch I absolutely love. Sleek, sharp, and worth every penny.

A Huge Upgrade From My Old Knives I've been using this knife set for about a week, and so far I'm really happy with it. I actually bought a new set because I had been using hand-me-down knives that were constructed so poorly that I literally had to hold the handle together while cutting because it was separating from the blade. 😩 So yes, this set was MUCH needed! These knives feel well-crafted and sturdy in my hands, and the handles feel secure with no movement or separation. Most importantly, they're sharp and cut through food easily without me having to fight with the knife. The black design looks really nice sitting on the counter, and I like that everything has its own place in the block. The set was also beautifully packaged when it arrived. The presentation was nice enough that I would absolutely consider giving this as a housewarming, wedding, or holiday gift. I've only had them for a week, so I can't speak on how the blades will hold up months from now or long-term rust resistance yet. But based on the first week, the quality, sharpness, construction, and appearance have all been a major upgrade from what I was using. I'll update my review if anything changes with continued use.

Wow! I am impressed! Much better set than i expected. Love the color and the design. For the price, these knives are well made. Even has a built in blade sharpener which was a very nice surprise. Nice handles. Very stylish with a nice assortment of blades. This 14 piece kitchen knife set is an excellent deal. Now i know what to get all my relatives for Christmas this year! This set is definitely a bargain!

I'm loving my new 13 piece knife set i just got. They look so fancy in all black. It also tells you the name of each knife on it. Comes in a nice block that matches the knife set. It comes with a knife sharpener already in block and a handy pair of scissors. Which is great place to put them because I never can find mine when i need them. 6 steak knives, pairing knife, Utility, bread knife, slicing knife and chef's knife. Tried my chef's knife on a cantaloupe first. It went right through it. Sharp! So please becareful with these. Think I buy another set. These would make wonderful gifts!

Sturdy, Complete Knife Set — Definitely Worth It! If you're looking for a really nice knife set, you need to get your hands on this one! It comes with everything I need, including steak knives, larger chopping knives, a bread knife, and even scissors. I love having everything together in one convenient set. The wooden knife block is very sturdy and feels well made. It looks nice sitting on the counter too, and the knives fit securely inside. I'm very pleased with the quality of the entire set.

This knife set has everything you need except for a carving fork. That said it is a perfect set especially for a couple just starting out. Handles are ergonomic and easy to grip. The block is sturdy and easy to clean, it also has a built in sharpener.

I REALLY wish Walmart allowed half stars, because 4 stars feels a little too low for this set. That said, I'm torn about giving it 5 stars also. In my opinion, this set rates a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars. It's certainly a cute knife set which goes well in my black and white kitchen. I especially like the wavy kind of pattern on the plastic handles of the knives. It's a small detail, but it gives them a little character and they feel good in my hand. The set arrived well-packaged, and the knives arrived sharp. At least the chef's knife definitely did because that's the one I've used so far. It was very sharp right out of the box and helped me go through a side of raw meat. How long it stays as sharp, of course, remains to be seen. The description also says the blades have a rust-resistant coating and anti-corrosion properties, but that is something else I'll have to wait and see about. The set does come with a warranty, which is nice to have. The knife block does have a few MINOR cosmetic blemishes, including around the seam where the shorter section meets the taller section. They're NOT horrible and they don't affect how the block works, but they make it to where I can't honestly call the overall finish perfect. "Perfect would garner 5 stars. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with it. You get a really good assortment of knives, the block looks nice sitting on the counter, it comes with a warranty, and everything fits neatly without taking up a ton of space. So... 4 stars it is, although I really think that score/rating is selling it a little short. If Walmart gave me a 4.5 option, this decision would have been a whole lot easier!
