I recently had a lot of work done on my garage, which included painting the ceiling, walls and floor. After organizing everything I noticed that I needed to put something on the floor to protect the paint since I like to put the car in the garage. Being a single mom I wanted something affordable and easy to install. I ordered the G floor pad on line, picked it up at the store and my teenage daughters rolled it out on the floor, easy as 1,2,3. It gives the garage a very nice look also and I had no problems with the settling of the pad. I'm very happy with the purchase, delivery, and installation .
I purchased two of these mats, one per car. Last year I had the garage floor skim coated as it was deteriorating. I then applied epoxy paint. The paint did not last particularly where car tires keep driving over it. These mats are the ticket I think to protect the floor from deteriorating again. I swept the floor and rolled them out. Didn't take long at all. The edges flattened out over a couple of days. So far I'm quite satisfied. I first tried to push them together but in the end I left about an inch between them as it is difficult to get them to line up exactly edge to edge all the way down. Perhaps my floor is not flat enough to do so or it is the way the material is cut.
It's been down in my garage for a month and I really like this. Putting a finish on my cement garage floor would have been about 3 times the cost and would probably have not stood up well to time and the elements. It'll be interesting to see how this does after a couple of years though I suspect it'll be ok.
Love the new floor protector. Easy to put down, looks classy, easy to clean. I have gotten a lot of compliments on it. Would recommend to anyone wishing to cover up a bad floor. My garage looks as good as my house!
I researched many floor coverings for my garage and chose this one from WalMart because of the price that was many bucks below HD & Costco for the same item.
I was worried that being a big package It would show up damaged , but no it was in perfect shape. I ordered 4 rolls all great shape. Also the product is awesome, love it!
Great product, priced right and delivered in a timely fashion. After unrolling the mats I read the instructions and pointers to properly care and maintain the mats. Extremely happy with this product.
This garage floor covering is easy to install and can be cut to fit perfectly around corners and posts. I bought the tape to keep pieces together and found that it was not necessary. The weight of the flooring was enough to keep things smooth and connected. I was under the impression that the flooring had a 'diamond' pattern -- so I was somewhat surprised by the channel lines. In order to make them work I had to redesign the placement so any dust or fluid would drain out the front of the garage. In other words, the channels had to all be going one direction -- which I did not realize beforehand and would have liked to have known.
The mats are heavy duty and look nice, but the only problem is the ends curl up. We even flipped them the opposite way and parked on them. The next day, we flipped them back to the way it was supposed to be, but the ends curled back up a little. We then weighted them down. Took the weights off and the same thing happened - they curled on the end. This causes a trip hazard. I had a set of mats before that included these plastic pieces for the ends - they didn't roll up and were great.
Very quick delivery of product that was well packaged to protect during shipment. Product was easy to put down once garage was cleared of storage cabinets etc. layed out nicely and the tightly rolled end layed out flat after a couple of hours. Garage floor never looked better and wished we had used these pads prior to staining the garage floor that did not last long at all. Would have given a 5 star rating but the lengths varied a bit on all three that we used.
