I believe in these pills. I travel to Asia ...

Stacey October 7, 2015

I believe in these pills. I travel to Asia for work and between the airplanes, people hacking and the lack of sleep, someone always gets sick. I always have a bottle of these just in case. When I feel my throat, or a general fatigue, or when everyone around me is sick, I take some pills. If I feel I really am getting sick, I follow the directions and take them. I think they work. My husband also travels a lot for work. I really believe if you take a ton (as directed) when you are starting to get sick it helps a lot.

Swear by this stuff

Lee January 16, 2013

Years ago this was recommended to me by an employee at a local market/health store. I was coming down with a cold at the time and wanted something to stop it in it's tracks. This worked -- it did just that. For the past 4+ years, each time I feel symptoms of a cold coming on, I immediately run to get a bottle of Quick Defense. Within the first day I usually feel better, end of the second I'm nearly always back to 100%. My husband has had the same experience. The only catch is, you really do need to start taking it as soon as you feel something coming on, and you have to be consistent with taking two capsules every three hours (roughly the time to hit their 5 doses a day recommendation). My ONLY complaint about this stuff is how pricey it gets -- but ultimately $20 is a worthwhile investment in order to avoid spending a week or more feeling crummy!

It worked for us!!

M. B. May 23, 2012

My husband is usually the one who gets hit the hardest with colds and illness when the house gets sick. He's often the only one who gets sick and almost always the one who stays sick the longest. So, when the kids woke up sick one day it was no wonder that by that evening he was starting to feel a little off. He immediately began taking this, and not even at the recommend dosage, and it completely passed him!! He never did end up getting sick. I, on the other hand, am nursing a newborn and the package clearly stated not to take while pregnant or nursing and so was unable to take these..yup, I got sick, and it wasn't pretty. I'll definitely keep these in the cabinet for him, just in case! ;)

It works! (this from a non-vitamin person)

Amazon C. August 5, 2015

Can I just say? This stuff works. I am the ultimate in skepticism about vitamins and what they claim to do, but Gaia Quick Defense worked. I've taken 2 trips to Europe in the last 3 months. I always get sick on long flights. But these 2 times as soon as I started to feel the itchy throat/sniffles, I immediate started on Quick Defense. Guess what? I was totally fine and got to enjoy my trips! I will never travel without these in my carry on. Ever.

Seemed like it worked.

Backyard G. March 9, 2012

I tried this when I felt one of my headaches coming on. I woke up feeling miserable and stuffy, along with the headache. Before long, I was sneezing too. I took the first dose at about 7 am, then another dose at around 11. My headache was gone by noon and I was no longer stuffy. I took another two doses that day, but didn't have any more symptoms, so I decided to save them and see if I get the same results next time I feel bad.I'm not sure if I was getting a cold or had allergies, but the product did seem to help. When I have these headaches, they usually last a full day, sometimes two and I have to take OTC migraine medicine to make them go away.

Good product!

Lol May 21, 2012

I have to admit...it took me the longest time to be able to try this product. I rarely get sick and, when I did, I completely forgot about taking it! However, when I finally did, I had a respiratory virus. It seems like you have lingering effects with any sort of respiratory illness for weeks. But when I took this, I feel like I recovered much more quickly. Its definitely worth a try if you remember to take it as soon as you feel the symptoms coming on.

Too vague, too pricy

Stefan March 13, 2012

Think of this as an organic, concentrated variation on Airborne: an immunity system booster you're supposed to take when you start feeling a cold coming on, or whenever you think you may need a boost. The ingredient mix looks good to my layman's eye, especially the fact that the standard echinacea root is combined with the other herbs included here, but how do you really know whether something like this works or not? I'm sure it doesn't hurt, I'm sure it actually may help to some extent, but exactly how effective is it? The description is too vague, the results are unproven, and at almost $1 per pill and (per the instructions) a whopping TEN pills per day, this is a very expensive proposition.

Quick Defense

Susan February 19, 2013

I had this product for awhile before using it and when I started getting sick I almost forgot I had it, so I did not start taking it immediately at onset. I know that Echinacea is supposed to be good for colds and that's the main ingredient in this formula. I ended up taking the entire 20 capsules and it may have lessened my symptoms, but unfortunately I was still down for the count.I would recommend getting the larger 40 count size (plus it's cheaper that way) and have it on hand so you start taking it at the first sign of a cold or flu.
