Finally found what works!

Deelite July 6, 2011

I am 47 years old and I was in the worse shape of my life at 213lbs and only 5'2". My knees hurt, my lower back ached and I couldn't walk up one flight of stairs without being out of breath. In January 2011 I went to a wedding and I was appalled at the pictures of myself, I had enough...I had to do something. I started dieting but was afraid to excercise because of my bad knees, even walking was difficult. One day I saw the CorePlus Reformer Workout with Mari Windsor in the store and I thought let me try it since you do it laying down it won't bother my knees. That was the day my life changed...at first I could barely do any of the excercises but let me tell you...today is July 7th less then 6 months since that wedding and I have lost 54lbs, went from a size 20 to a size 10 and I am not only able to keep up with the CorePlus Reformer workout DVD but while Mari Winsor is talking and explaing the excercise I am doing 2 or 3 times the reps. I have never looked better, even when I was in college! But more importantly I feel so strong, so in control and so powerful, I have definition in my arms without adding bulky muscles, you can see beautiful triceps, I have gorgeous legs and I am wearing short skirts for the first time in 10 years! And I even bought a 2 piece bathing suit. My husband told me the other day he feels like he is having an affair on his wife...with his wife!! LOL!!! I have more energy than I'v ever had, I am more productive at work, with my family and my love life is better than ever. I finally found the answer for me, I watch my diet and do the CorePlus Reformer a minimum of 3 times a week. My knees and lower back no longer hurt, I even started jogging twice a week and I love it! Thank you Gaiam, thank you CorePlus Reformer and thank you Mari Winsor...Mari I feel like I know you personally, I love the last line in the dvd - it sticks in my head all day..."Be consistent, your gonna love the results" I do Mari...I love the results! < 3

I enjoy it more every time I do it! The routines are fun, fast and make you feel great when you're done.

Great Product

Pilates57 May 21, 2009

I love this product. I have been doing Pilates for 5 years. I work out at home only, since it doesn't give me the excuse of not being able to make it to the gym. I didn't want to go to the expense of purchasing any large equipment and adding this reformer to my other Pilates workouts has been great. It mimics the more expensive and bulky equipment you find at a gym with the convenience of being able to take it with you anywhere. It really works your entire body. I have noticed an improvement in strength and muscle tone since I started adding the reformer to my Pilates repertoire.

Disappointed in exercise video content

Healthfanatic January 27, 2011

Love the product and the exercises that were provided but I know a piece of exercise equipment like this is far more versatile and there must be more exercises to go with it. How about a separate book of exercises or a follow up dvd? I was disappointed in the selction of exercises on the video.

Takes some getting used to.

MikeC December 31, 2009

Be prepaired to work. More challenging than I thought. You can get tangled up at times so have the pause button ready on your remote. Mari keeps a good pace and there are three seperate sections. If your looking for a change/challange over regular mat pilates I recomend this product.

tricky

cautiousmom July 25, 2014

I really wanted to love this but found it awkward to use and made the flow bumpy. I had difficulty performing some of the exercises and hope I can get better with practice , although I'm not sure I'll grab it often. Good level of resistance. Be aware...made of latex.

Online video option?

AlyStar January 8, 2017

I was excited to get this interesting band but I got rid of any DVD player ages ago. Can only ding a 5 min video on YouTube so really don't know how to use it. No paper manual.

Hopeful

TXRose March 30, 2010

I just got the CorePlus Reformer the other day to motivate me to begin exercising again. I haven't in about a year and the last time I did Pilates was back in 2003. I missed the feeling of the stretch exercises and I wanted to try this product. I am going to continue to use it. The problem is that I am really over weight, but I can feel and do most of the exercise fine. I am able do more of the advance work outs then I thought I would be able to. I have a bad back, but with this workout routine I feel a lot better after I complete it and I am able to stretch my back even further, so I do this work out in the morning before I get through my day. I am glad that I got this product and I hope to see results, not right away, but in time and hope that I can get my joints feeling better.

Broken during my 3rd day of use!

sarahmc February 23, 2016

I was using the reformer in accordance with the instructions and one of the four clover leaves just snapped out of place, almost smacking me in the head with the hard plastic handle. I have been taking yoga, pilates, dance and other movement-based classes, along with my own personal practice for years. I've been wary of props like this in the past but this came highly recommended by my pilates instructor. Unfortunately it is cheaply made and subject to breaking easily. I don't want to go through the hassle of returning it, so I guess I'll just throw it away. A waste of money, unfortunately.

It's a great idea but

SuzTCO September 5, 2011

I have been learning Pilates with a private instructor on the reformer and mat for 3 months now and I thought this would be a great way to augment my classes especially when I'm traveling or can't make it to the gym. I was very disappointed with the product. I've tried it half a dozen times to give it a fair shot and find the stiff and cumbersome to use. Also, perhaps different sizes might help for those of us over 5'5"? I'm 6'1" and I cannot achieve the proper form for pilates exercises with this piece of equipment. Sad to say its going back. Its a great idea but just needs more work.
