Gaiam Restore 18" Muscle Therapy Foam Roller

I looked online for some suggestions as to how to manage sciatic pain and saw this phone roller. I bought it about 2 wks ago and my physical therapist and chiropractor are thrilled that I have it to use at home. It feels incredible and I can tell it's doing my hip joint and surrounding muscles a lot of good.

I bought this item last week and have only used it 4 times. Every time I've used it on my back, it has cracked at least once. The first time I rolled across the floor on it I got about 4 pops and cracks - this will save me expensive weekly trips to the chiropractor for sure.

After many years of nearly daily use, my first roller was worn out. Loving my new one. Great for working out stiff or sore muscles.

It had gotten to the point where I couldn't lift my left leg off the floor. My acupuncturist told me that the muscles from my lower back all the way down my leg were contracted. Along with acupuncture I was getting deep tissue massage. A friend lent me his foam rolled to try and the results were immediate. I ordered one for myself and have been using it regularly with great results. The only thing that disappointed me was that I didn't receive the DVD that was supposed to come with the roller.

Roller is the perfect size, great for back work, rolling sore muscles, or just elevating knees to relax legs. Long enough for effective workouts, small enough to store. Great for small rooms and apartments.

I watch videos from Gaiam and other places online, to learn how to use this. It works very well and I feel amazing after each time using it. It is painful but, the good kind of pain. What I need. Therapeutic.

I actually bought this for my brother but I ended up using it also. I especially like the DVD that goes along with it. The workout is challenging, but not just rote repitition of movements. You feel like you have done something when you're finished. Great for strengthening back and legs and stretching out the back.

As an avid runner, I need a tool to help stretch. This roller has a great DVD to work with. There are stretches for your it band and other parts of the body which are very hard to stretch regularly. It takes a bit to get used to but once you use it regularly, it is fantastic. The roller itself is very sturdy. You can also use it to workout with. Great for lower body workouts. Terrific tool to add to your home gym. The DVD instructor is wonderful too.

I bought this specifically for travel. The long version of the foam roller is really loooonggg. This size is much nice stowed in the car and in hotel rooms. Gap in my foam rolling consistency solved.

I bought this, thinking that it would be less brutal to my aching back than the harder, less-forgiving rollers at the gym. Big mistake! This "roller" doesn't roll! It just lies there, under my shoulder blades, and does nothing. The problem is that it's "squishy". It isn't firm (i.e., doesn't keep its shape) and so (because it's not round) doesn't roll. I'm sorry that I bought it and sorrier still that I discarded the receipt...I could have gotten a refund.
