Short of buffalo milk mozzarella this is the best I've found for all around use. Cooking in lasagna or diced in a Capresé salad it works. I've been toasting Italian or French bread with grated Parmesan cheese, then add some thinly sliced tomato, slices of Galbiani Mozzarella and after it's all melted drizzle with balsamic vinegar glaze. Yum!
The slices are easy enough to separate. They are wonderful on a homebaked pizza or eaten plain or with tomatoes, basil, etc. The mozzarella flavor is tasty. I do need to store the opened bag of slices in another bag like a ziplock or press-together closure plastic bag, otherwise liquid might drip out of the original packaging. Not a big problem. I like the slightly gummy texture of the mozzarella, which is an expectation of fresh mozzarella. Will be buying again.
This mozzarella cheese is a bit unusual. When you eat it it doesn't melt or break down easily you keep chewing it for a while. It's chewy and dense, which might not be what you expect from mozzarella. Taste is okay but the texture is quite different from the soft stretchy mozzarella most people are used to
The only mozzarella I use. The best for melting inside any Parma recipe or using as a tomato/mozzarella with a basil appetizer. Just a little drizzle of balsamic vinegar and ii could make a meal out of it myself. Honestly, the just the perfect texture and creaminess without the mess. I highly recommend this product and I'm one picky Italian!
I've purchased this fresh mozzarella multiple times to use in my Caprese Pasta Salad. The flavor is just as good as the more expensive brand I used to use, and the presliced sections make it easy to chop into bite sized pieces needed for my recipe. I want to try it on my Margherita pizza next!
This mozarella is the freshest I've ever eaten. It takes a little longer to melt than others I've purchased, but the flavor is perfect. I've used it in green chile chicken and red chile beef. So, so good!
I eat all kinds of cheese on a nearly daily basis. By no means am I snobby about it either. But I am particular and a bit picky. Once a month I purchase this brand of fresh mozzarella...it is a treat to myself (typically with sliced tomatoes, evoo, balsamic). What I can share with you in this review is that it's certainly fresh and the quality is excellent. Where you may call into question, is the slicing aspect. All fresh mozzarella is extremely difficult to slice with any consistency. The result is inevitably pieces that look less than perfect. Another aspect to note, all fresh mozzarella is very low in salt. So if you want more flavor enhancement, you'll want to add your own. All in all, this mozzarella satisfies my monthly cravings and I think it's worth it.
Mozzarella cheese with fresh milk is the way it should be done. Texture and taste were better than expected. Highly recommended, especially if you make your own pizza. Love it
I love fresh mozzarella. I tried this product, because I thought that there might be good value. Nope! The cheese wasn't as soft %26 milky as other fresh mozzarella. In fact, it is rather grainy %26 tough! I'd rather spend a little more %26 get a better cheese. I will not buy this again!
This was substituted and the substitution was twice the amount, and not even close to be in the same thing. I asked for marinated mozzarella balls. They gave me plain, and at twice the cost.
