This is the only ricotta cheese I buy because it's honestly my favorite. It's creamy, delicious, and always tastes fresh. I use it for lasagna, stuffed shells, and other recipes, and it never disappoints. Unless I find another brand that completely blows me away, this will stay my go-to staple!
Comes in tubs like ice cream. Texture is like cheesecake. Not as sweet, bit still slightly sweet! I 1st got 'cause the protein complexes were designed to provide little calfs all they need for bull muscles. Add fruit, frozen berries, cinnimon, cacao,.. Healthier than yogurt.
When I moved to Texas the things I missed were the things I took for granted when living in NY, ricotta being on the top of the list. This ricotta is better than anything I have ever had in NY, delicious, creamy, better than the Polly o I grew up on.
This brand is so much better than the GV brand which is very thin and watery. I added salt, pepper, parsley, nutmeg and Parmesan cheese and whipped it, made a bed out of it and topped it with 2 cooked meatballs, sauce and more Parmesan cheese, yummy!!
Not all ricottas are created equally. Store brands do the job but when quality really matters this is a good one. My great grandparents immigrated through NYC from Italy in the early 1900s but we are limited in our Italian ingredients in the south east. I'm not sure what the top brands are up north but I can make delicious baked ziti, stuffed shells and lasagna using Galbani whole milk ricotta that I find right here in my South Carolina Walmart. To be honest, I could eat this straight out of the container, it's that good!
After eating ricotta made in the U.S. when I tried this I felt like I had been eating puke! Everything about this ricotta is miles above other gross cheeses. I now understand why other recipes weren't as good as in Italy like cannoli, it's because they don't use barf cheese
In my opinion this is the BEST Ricotta around. It's creamy and delicious as opposed to other Ricotta that has a grainy, thick, terrible texture. GALBANI IS THE ANSWER TO RICOTTA!
I love this food, and this brand in particular. Use this wherever you would add cottage cheese. It is so fresh, creamy, and has a light, naturally sweet, taste. I enjoy with fresh blue boot raspberries.
Delicious to even eat plain. If making cannoli this is absolutely wonderful for the filling it is really thick, not watery at all and already naturally sweet in taste. Very high in whey great for bone and muscle health!
This product is great for Italian cooking as well as scoping some into a bowl for breakfast with a hint of cinnamon or lunch with some garlic and chives. This opts to stay creamy in lasagna or in baked ziti the possibilities are endless.
