Gallop!: A Scanimation Picture Book

This is an amazing book, when you open the pages, there is a brief animation of an animal in movement. The image on the front cover is a horse and like all the other images of a chicken, dog, cat and eagle among other things, the movement is very realistic. The text is very simple, at a level that can be understood by a very young child. This book is truly a pack of fun for young children and I highly recommend it.

I bought this book at the airport in Portland, Oregon the first time I saw it. My granddaughter was about 1 1/2. She still loves looking at the book a year later and probably appreciates it more now. We both love the rhyming, but I am particularly happy with the vocabulary. It's not your usual little kid stuff. Anyway, I can easily spend this much on just a regular board book, but this is something special.

My son is LOVES this book (as well as my other 2 children) He's 3 yrs old & this book goes everywhere he does. He enjoys the animation while reading the story.

grand-daughter 18months enjoying, Mom and Dad enjoy looking also, will be shared by newest member of family later, only month old.

Fun book and the seven year old recepient seemed to be fascinated with it, although I think it would be better suited for the 2-5 year old set. For just a few pages, it was a little expensive.

I was really excited waiting to receive this book based on all the hype. I was extremely disappointed once I received the book. The pictures are extremely hard to see. The idea is really neat but again, way to difficult to see. The art is done in black and just simply too dark.
