This bucket with lid , brush and hand shovel is a game charger for cleaning out a fireplace! It holds a lot of ash so you don't have to empty after evey use. The rim at the bottom makes it easy to empty and the bucket and tools are sturdy so I am sure this entire set up will last for many years. I am very pleased with my purchase.

Ash Bucket for my wood burning stove.
Overall, this bucket will do exactly everything I need it to. The lid is just a regular lightweight top. The bottom might have a spray coating of some heat-proofing, but by no means, will it stop it from melting your floor or burning your carpet. Overall it's an ash pail with a nice handle with a wooden grip to keep you from burning your hand and the scoop that comes with it. I'm actually gonna use. If you're looking for a 10-pound all-steel bulletproof ash can this is not the one for you. It's lightweight and easy to use. The ash shovel holder on the side is a nice little benefit.
