The Gap Home Memory Foam Mattress is a Queen size that measures 59”x79” and is 10” high, which is the same depth of my old Queen size coil mattress. I wasn't sure about sleeping on a Memory Foam bed although I do have Memory Foam pillows, I thought I would be sinking in the mattress and not be able to get out of the bed. But that was not the case, first of all it was so easy to get up my stairway and into my bedroom with no flipping the mattress to maneuver it up the steps. Next I just cut the protective plastic away, and the Mattress magically started to unravel itself and inflate. And surprisingly there was no smell to the Mattress, I let the Mattress settle for 2 days until I placed it on my Queen size frame with no helpI did it all by myself. With my old mattress I needed my husband just to help me flip the mattress because it was so heavy. I've been sleeping on the Memory Foam now for 2 weeks and I always sleep on my side and sometimes my hip would hurt in the morning because of that coil in that certain spot, but can say I haven't woke up yet complaining about my hip. My old Queen size mattress has finally been replaced. The Mattress covering is so soft and made out of 100% Polyester, and the inner cover is 60% glass fiber and 40% rayon, the backing has like a rubbery grip texture so your Mattress isn't sliding all over. This Mattress should never be washed and never take the cover off, I always have Mattress Pad Protectors on all my mattress. If you do have to clean, spot clean the area and then dap with a dry clean cloth. I really like this Mattress and hope to have many more goodnight of peaceful sleep.
I really thought that a 10 inch mattress would not be comfortable, but was I wrong. This mattress is very comfortable and very firm. I choose to let it breathe for 72 hours, to me, it seems like it cursed In other words I'm happy with this bed.
Really sturdy light mattress it was easy to drag inside easier to unroll considering the size (King) I was surprised it fit in a little box but it's pretty thick true to the advertising it's very aesthetically pleasing even without sheets it was advertised as medium firmness but I'd consider a little more on the firmer side maybe an 8/10 but I'm happy with my purchase all the way
A LITTLE HEAVY TO LIFT..NEED HELP OR NOT..DEPENDS ON WHO YOU ARE .. NICELY PACKED.BUT WAIT TILL YOU UNDO PACKAGE ITS IN. MAGIC ON YOUR FRAME..SLEEPING IS LIKE ON A CLOUD..SO FORMING TO YOUR BODY..I JUST LOVE IT AND NO SPRINGS OR NOISE ITS MAKES..QUIET WHEN MOVING AND SO SO COMFORTABLE...THANK YOU
Anyone who doesn't have one of these mattresses NEEDS it. This thing is so soft and comfortable. My 7 year old use to get up every night and get in my bed but after switching her bed to this mattress she has slept in her bed every night! Win for us both!
Arrived in a giant box, which was a fun challenge to get in the house. I eventually managed and set it up in the guest room, just a day before I was scheduled to have some weekend guests. Watching it gain its full size was kinda fun, and I didn’t notice any funny smells/off-gassing, but to be fair, I had a plug-in air freshener in the room. My guests slept on it the next night, so it had less than 24 hours from when I actually opened it to when someone first slept on it. They had no complaints about smell either, and they said it didn’t sleep hot the way some foam mattresses do. In fact, the only complaint came from the husband, who was used to an innerspring mattress and said this memory foam mattress made it too hard for him to turn over while sleeping. The wife seemed like she was only half-joking when she said that was a good thing though, and that she slept better for it. She also said she tends to sleep close to the edge of the bed and didn’t feel like she was about to fall off, so it has adequate edge support.
I had a very good, but very heavy, pillow-top mattress, so wanted to see if this new thinking in mattresses sleeps as well. It shipped in a sturdy box and was rolled up tightly in half with an outer later of thick plastic that held it for shipping. Once the outer layer was unwrapped, it expanded quickly into its mattress shape, with another protective layer of plastic that was easy to remove. It expanded to 90% depth in a few hours and to the full 10" the next day. I recommend you let it expand and air out the manufacturing smell for a few days. It has a nice removeable cover with a zipper. Compared to my traditional mattress, this one is much lighter and easier to maneuver when making the bed. When you first lay down, it's feels like a soft cloud, but still provides surprising back support. It stays comfortable even with flip-flopping all night (due to old injuries). Overall, I am pleasantly surprised that this mattress sleeps as well as, or slightly better, than my traditional mattress. For the price and ease of moving it around, I am a mattress convert. Interesting side note: My two dogs did not usually sleep with me full time, but now they sleep on this bed full time and even go lay on it for mid-day naps.
So i just got this delivered and cannot wait for it to be set up in my spare room and i already know its a comforble mattress cause I have a memory foam mattress for my bed and this new one will be set up in one of my spare rooms as soon as the dry wall is done being out up in there. But I highly recommend a memory foam matress. I will never ever go back to a spring mattress.
This mattress is quite comfortable and expanded easily (comes wrapped/folded in a spiral). The directions indicated that it fully inflates in 48 hours and it has a small odor/smell when you unwrap it; however, I found the smell to be quite mild (but good to know it was expected/normal). It inflated a lot immediately too, so you could use it before the 48 hours. You don't need a box spring with this--I just put it on my bed and it worked great. My partner did say, compared to our other mattress, he thought it kept the warmth in more. It definitely does seem to make it cozy quicker (but for him, that meant less sheets on top so he doesn't overheat). I have really enjoyed sleeping on this. Myself, my partner, and my dog all have slept well and have had no issues. Pleased overall!
I'm not totally in live with this mattress. I was expecting it to be a bit softer then it actually is. It's much more like a firm and not medium-firm. Other then that, it's a great mattress and happy that I took a chance on this one. It's also the first foam mattress I've bought for myself.
