The detail of the set of dishes is absolutely beautiful. I think my favorite part is the blue is not a bright blue and it looks antique. The white etching sets it off. The dishes are on the heavy side so it feels like it's made well I can see myself drinking out of the coffee cups often. It almost had a look and feel of pottery. The set would make a nice display on top of placemats.

Got this a week or so ago and like it very much, big and kind of heavy but not bad. I like the size of all of the items and just right for a single person (like me) or a couple just starting out. Nice design but also have different ones to choose from. Made in China but I'm ok with that since most things are. Dish washer and microwave safe.

Can be utilized as everyday or special event dinnerware as long as your dinner list doesn't exceed a total of four. Of course you can add to the total with additional sets. The color isn't exactly white, more of an off-white. Each piece has substantial weight to it. The design is not just painted on, it's more of a colored indentation. Washes up real nice.

This set is so much nicer in person than in the photos I cannot stress that enough. It has a semi-mat finish with makes the set look so much more modern and stylish. The stripes aren't just printed on but indented into the ceramic making them have a hand made look. They are a beige cream color with a dark dusty blue. They are great quality and are sturdy heavy pieces. So love these! I'm probably going to add to the set as so I have a setting for six. I can highly recommend this set it's nit too flashy for regular dinner wear but also nice enough for a nice dinner set up! They were packaged really well and shipped fast.

I loved that everything you need is included in this set. A main plate, bowl, cup, and a saucer is all included in this dinnerware set. I love the simplicity of the look too. Great color on these dishes. So easy to care for, they go right in the dishwasher. No worries on the microwave either. I lead a busy life and use the microwave a lot. These are great! I love the color and design. I was tired of flowery pastels and these are just perfect! The color makes your food look good too!

This is a great starter dish set for anyone who likes a casual dish style. It comes with 4 mugs, 4 bowls, 4 lunch plates, and 4 dinner plates. These Gap Home sets come in a variety of colors: indigo blue, red, sage green, and pewter grey. The 3 rows of dark blue hatch marks provide a lot of contrast to the pale stoneware of the dishes. The bowls are 3 inches deep and could hold 3 servings of whatever you'd like to put in them. The mugs do well in the microwave. The handle doesn't get warm even when the liquid in the mug gets hot. The dinner plates are large and heavy. The lunch plates are the perfect size for sandwiches or a very large salad if you choose to use them as salad plates. The only criticism I have of these plates is that the pattern in the dark blue is busier than I'd like. I think the softer green and grey would be easier on the eye. Also, for those who prefer their plates be exactly alike, I did notice that the decorative hatching is not perfectly centered on each plate or mug. On a few of the dinner plates the hatching is closer to the edge on one side of the plate than the other. And on one of the mugs a hatch mark near the handle is shorter than the others. These dishes were made in China.

This stoneware is very nice. I like the weight of it. Little on the heavy side but I think that helps bowls keep soup, stew or chilie warm longer. I especially like the size and feel of the mug in my hand. I am a coffee drinker so that's important. The pieces clean up very easily, too.

I'm not quite sure what I expected with this stoneware. In the past I've had China, ceramic and stoneware. This is very substantial as far as weight and feel. Will hold up well when cared for properly. The wax relief design on the edges is attractive, but there is some bleeding, where the glaze did not roll off the wax as it was supposed to. I also noticed some glazing drip marks on a couple items, but honestly nothing to worry about. This is advertised as dishwasher and microwave safe, and I used it in both. A word of caution, if you put it in the microwave you must use a oven mitt because it will be extremely hot. I thought that since it was microwave safe it would not absorb the heat like that. I learned this lesson quickly. I do think it's great for durability and design are very cool. They have a a very modern look about them, but you'll want to be careful stacking them in the cupboard as the weight of them could maybe damage them. I wouldn't recommend these for those who have strength weakness, I'm thinking maybe senior citizens, as they are so heavy. My favorite part of this set are the mugs and bowls! I love those.
