Gap Home 16-Piece Striped Rim White Stoneware Dinnerware Set

The detail of the set of dishes is absolutely beautiful. I think my favorite part is the blue is not a bright blue and it looks antique. The white etching sets it off. The dishes are on the heavy side so it feels like it's made well I can see myself drinking out of the coffee cups often. It almost had a look and feel of pottery. The set would make a nice display on top of placemats.

I can't say enough good about this stoneware dinnerware set! The quality, the color, the way it looks when I set my table! I plan to buy two more sets and these are my new everyday dishes! I didn't know that Gap had a home line and it is every bit as nice as you would expect! The blue is a rich color without being too bright or too dull. Very nice with the white design variation on the blue. I would definitely recommend this set...or two sets...or three sets!

I was so excited after opening and laying out my 16-Piece Gap Home, Stoneware, Dinner set. They are a beautiful Royal/Navy blue with a white striped Rim. Its a perfect 4 place setting which includes 11” plates, 8” dessert plates, 6” cereal bowls and my favorite 15.5 oz mugs which are the perfect mug for drinking my morning cup of coffee. The plates are a nice weight and look beautiful on my table. My concern was cutting a piece of meat and causing scratches on the plates. But it didn't even begin to make a scratch. I am completely happy with the Gap home dinner ware set and would highly recommend them to my family and friends.

Got this a week or so ago and like it very much, big and kind of heavy but not bad. I like the size of all of the items and just right for a single person (like me) or a couple just starting out. Nice design but also have different ones to choose from. Made in China but I'm ok with that since most things are. Dish washer and microwave safe.

It's a nice large sized adult dinnerware. This GAP HOME SET is navy blue with white accents. The plates have four rows of white, vertical lines near the rim, where the bowls and mugs have three rows. I was so pleasantly surprised at the make of these dishes. I wasn't sure what to expect, but they have exceeded my expectations. I love the beautiful blue with the white strip. I also love that they are ceramic instead of glass and very happy they weren't plastic. I would definitely recommend these dishes to anyone. I wish I had another set.

I recently received my new 16 piece stoneware set by Gap Home. It has exceeded my expectations already. It has a beautiful yet simplistic design that can easily blend with many different table setting options. This set is versatile & durable so it works for dinner parties while still being conventional enough for everyday use. The stoneware is microwave and dishwasher safe. I noticed that liquids heat in less time and are able to maintain the warm temperature longer than my other mugs. While keeping the actual mug itself at a comfortable temperature to touch. The material is easy to clean without the need for much scrubbing when washed by hand. When cleaned in the dishwasher, I was able to use the less water & energy cycle. I would definitely recommend this set. I am actually looking into getting another 16 piece set in the contrasting colors so I can mix and match the designs. It would make a nice gift idea for a new home, etc. I can see this set lasting for many years to come.

This stoneware is very nice. I like the weight of it. Little on the heavy side but I think that helps bowls keep soup, stew or chilie warm longer. I especially like the size and feel of the mug in my hand. I am a coffee drinker so that's important. The pieces clean up very easily, too.

I'll start by saying this set is very pretty. I like the color and the nice design. The set also has a good weight to it. However, once the box was delivered, I realized the items have a California Prop 65 warning. Because of this, I don't feel comfortable using them and decided not to keep them.

I'm not quite sure what I expected with this stoneware. In the past I've had China, ceramic and stoneware. This is very substantial as far as weight and feel. Will hold up well when cared for properly. The wax relief design on the edges is attractive, but there is some bleeding, where the glaze did not roll off the wax as it was supposed to. I also noticed some glazing drip marks on a couple items, but honestly nothing to worry about. This is advertised as dishwasher and microwave safe, and I used it in both. A word of caution, if you put it in the microwave you must use a oven mitt because it will be extremely hot. I thought that since it was microwave safe it would not absorb the heat like that. I learned this lesson quickly. I do think it's great for durability and design are very cool. They have a a very modern look about them, but you'll want to be careful stacking them in the cupboard as the weight of them could maybe damage them. I wouldn't recommend these for those who have strength weakness, I'm thinking maybe senior citizens, as they are so heavy. My favorite part of this set are the mugs and bowls! I love those.
