Gap Home Color Matte 16-Piece Round Yellow Stoneware Dinnerware Set

This Gap Home sixteen piece dinnerware set is awesome! I love it! I love the matte goldish yellow color in this stoneware set. The lip on the plates is an awesome look and gives an extra special touch to this set of dishes. It makes it easier for smaller children to keep from scooting their food off of the usual designed flat plates or adults as well. But more importantly to me I like the designer look that it gives to this casual set of dishes. I read a few reviews where a lot of people do not like the mugs without handles but I really like them, maybe because I am used to carrying coffee around in my Yeti tumblers which of course do not have handles. But also I like that they are different than the usual everyday coffee mugs. I do wish they offered these in a six piece place setting and I would love if they came in a red color also, whether it was a rich burgundy or an matte apple red to mix and match with the goldish yellow. This set of stoneware dishes is perfect for a country kitchen but could be used in any contemporary home. I like that they are heavy duty and I am very happy that they are dishwasher and microwave safe. However the plates with the lip do not fit very well in my dishwasher as the lip makes them a bit too wide for my plate section and I have to tilt them forward a bit to make it work. These are nice huge plates and bowls and the mugs hold sixteen ounces!

Ceramic hard, thick and heavy compared to the Corelle. Fine tableware material. Delicate and subtle design. I loved that they came only dishes because I bought them because my previous tableware lost a couple of plates, so I do not need cups, and I chose this design that matches with the previous tableware cups. I think the size of the dishes is excellent, they are not extravagant, perfect for a balanced meal. Family friendly

Not to mention the amazing quality, they're thick and durable and do great either in the dishwasher or washed by hand. I got those on gray and it was the best decision. They look so great and classy but with the affordable price. I'm not using the tumblers with hot liquids, I'm using as cups since the ceramic usually holds it cold for a longer period of time. I'm considering to get a second set so I can host dinners and lunches for a bigger group. I totally recommend and with the right table decor it makes your table looks sophisticated easily.

I got these because, unlike other stoneware sets, this claimed to be microwavable and dishwasher safe. I'm happy to say, it's both. My grandkids like them because of the high sides, making eating a bit more clean with the smaller ones, and able to hold a lot of food for the older ones. Cleanup is easy, as the surface isn't all that rough. They are a bit on the heavy side, though. The only thing I had problems with were the mugs. There are no handles on them, so I guess they are true mugs and not cups. With warm cocoa we had no problems, but I can imagine with hot steaming coffee they would be way to hot to hold. Overall, these are well made and make for a good set of stoneware. If you are wanting cups to drink coffee, I'd pass on these. If you like warm drinks, though, this is a great set to have.

This set is beautiful! The color and design are beautiful. They're not heavy, which I love since stoneware tends to be heavy. The deep blue is really nice with the offsetting of the stone. I also like that the cups don't have handles, makes them look very chic. We've already washed them in the dishwasher and had no issues. I'd recommend to anyone looking for a simple yet chic set!

I really needed new plates and bowls. These are so nice. There heavy and real hard so i dont recommend for the kids to use they might break them. I love how they came two different sizes and cups are a good size Ive used them everyday now and there pretty good.

These dishes are a nice size and color, I like the up-tilted edge...keeps food from falling off. However, being ironstone, all pieces have an unglazed ring on the bottom that will scratch tables and/or countertops. There is also have an unglazed ring on the outside edge of all pieces...this unprotected edge is rough and absorbent, and will stain over time. The dinner plate is a good size, as is the salad plate. The bowl is a generous size with high sides, great for soups or cereals. The cup is strange...normally dinnerware comes with a coffee cup/mug...this one has no handle. So if using for hot beverages, one would have a hard time holding onto it without burning their hand! I'm not sure if these should be washed in a dishwasher, as they could absorb water through the unglazed edges and might break if not TOTALLY dried before putting in a microwave or oven. Unfortunately, this is not a good choice for me and my family.

These dishes are not yellow as described. They are a matte gold color. Unpacked this order upon receipt and discovered the coffee cups are made with NO HANDLES. How are we supposed to hold a hot beverage in a cup with no handles without burning or scalding our hands? Cup design makes NO sense.

I bought these but when I received I found two things wrong: you cannot hold a hot cup of coffee in them as they have no handles. Too hot! Also the glaze had occasional swirly mistakes and underglaze globs. I was disappointed — loved them online!
