Gap Home Flowing Watercolors 8-Piece Blue Melamine Dinnerware Set

Gap home dinnerware is absolutely gorgeous! To my surprise they are lightweight and easy to hold and handle. I wasn't sure I was going to like them because in the picture they looked like they would be heavy ceramic. I am so happy they are not! I have been looking for affordable light weight plates and bowls for awhile but couldn't find ones that didn't look cheap. These do not look cheap they are the prettiest blue I have ever seen and they look perfect with my table! You won't be disappointed.

I order This month ago. There are some other designs and styles. I order 8 piece set, 4 bowls and 4 plates. It was an amazing. Looks amazing. Material is good. Every one loves in my family. There were multiple designs and styles available. I pick the blue one. There were red with plate and cups. But what I got is beautiful, durable and easy to use with even kids.

Gap Home Has a really nice set of melamine dishware here. The plates are very large and can accommodate any type of meal you want to put on it. The bowls are large you could use them as serving dishes no problem. The colors are lovely and the dishes are very lightweight. They are dishwasher safe for top rack which is amazing. I really enjoy these dishes they're perfect for a casual evening or a dressy event!!

Very pretty and practical blue plate and bowl set. Both the plates and bowls are oversized and durable melamine material. Love using the bowls for pasta!

I love this set of dinnerware. I had thought they were glass,but they're not. They are very durable and not easy to break. Dishwasher safe. My favorite part though is the vibrancy of the colors. Highly recommended.

Love these! Lightweight and pretty color. Wish my cabinets were slightly wider so that they would fit more easily but otherwise a great set for regular use.

I love the colors and design. The plates are nice, albeit a little small for dinner plates. The bowls are fantastic - great for salads or a big bowl of soup. I'm not thrilled that they're top-rack only dishwasher-safe because I have a portable dishwasher, so the plates are too big to fit. The bowls will fit, but take up a lot of room since they have to lay down a bit. Overall, I'm pleased with this set!

The dinnerware set arrived well packaged and undamaged. The set consist of four 11 inch dinner plates and four 8 inch bowls. The set gives the look of a watercolor design. It looks very nice on the table. The set is from the Gap. When I hear the Gap, I think higher quality. That's not really the case here. The set is nice. It looks very good, but it's on the light side. The set is made of melamine. I had to look that up to see what it is. Melamine is a organic-based, nitrogen-rich compound. Melamine is a durable resin that's fire and heat resistant. That being said, Walmart's own add says that the set can be dishwasher safe on the top rack only. They also say that the set can not be microwaved. That made me start thinking about the safety of the set more. I researched melamine on-line. The FDA has found that the product is safe for food use, but NEVER in the microwave. Make sure your kids know that. Before my research I had given this set 4 out of 5 stars. After reading trusted studies on-line I have dropped that rating to 2 out of 5 stars. I will not be using the set for anything that is hot. I want to encourage anyone thinking about buying this set to do your own research, then decide if the dinnerware set is right for you. As nice as the set looks, I can not recommend it.
