Gap Home New Light Blue Fine Ceramic 14-Inch Serving Platters Set of 2

These oval platters have a nice shine to them. They are simple but slightly elegant. The underside says dishwasher and microwave safe. I have not used these platters in an "official" manner yet, but I could see using them for pork chops, grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, rolls, etc. Various venues could be possible for the use of these platters.

This pair of white with 2 blue strips platter has already been useful as soon as they arrived. I made an overload of chocolate chip cookies, and definitely needed more than the one platter I usually use. These did the trick! Not only useful, but they are very substantial, would be great to plate a 5-6 pound chicken with some room left around it for the veggies that are roasted with the chicken. It's not so oversized that you will find it handy for more than the once a year turkey platter. They have a nice clean look, and would go with most everyday dishes.

These platters are a great size for serving an entree for two people. I have enclosed a picture of one with our quesadillas. They wash up easily by hand, but they also fit well in the dishwasher. The paint and finish on the platters is smooth and they are not any heavier then our dinner plates. We have used them as dinner plates as well and they do well as they are not near as big as our regular serving platters. Definitely will use these a lot.

I was surprised on opening the box to find the platters are oval. Looking at the photo in the ad, I thought they were round. The description is 14 inch platters. They are actually 13 1/2" x 9 1/2". They are large enough for a ham, but I think they would only hold a small turkey. The instructions on the underside of the platters state that they are dishwasher and microwave safe. Most microwaves come with turntables. It would have to be a large microwave to allow it to fit and for the platter to turn with the turntable. It fit perfectly and turned with the turntable in my microwave. I tested the microwave safe feature by filling a microwave safe bowl with 8 oz. of water and heating it on the platter for one minute on full power (1100 Watt). When I removed them from the microwave, the bottom of the bowl was too hot to touch (from the hot water), but the surface of the platter was cool to the touch. I fixed hotdogs in buns for company and was able to fit 8 with buns on the platter. I will admit to using the the 2nd platter in an unconventional manner, as a dinner plate. The platter is deep enough and long enough that I was able to use it for mashed potatoes, turkey and turkey gravy with plenty of room for the turkey and no danger of the gravy running off the edge like a normal plate.

This 13 inch each platter set is the perfect size for dinner. They are not as heavy as a turkey size platter and are easy to lift and wash. They can be used for two different sides or to split one large serving on a large table. I like that it doesn't have compartments to mess up food while serving. The three concentric blue rings on the sides are thin to thick which makes the set attractive. They are the perfect depth for holding heat yet easy to scoop food out. I am a stickler for good packaging and these platters come well packed which can be used for storage if desired.

I got these to use in my every day cooking. The 14 inch size is just the right size for serving the 3 of us. They're porcelain white with simple navy stripes. They fits in perfectly with my current plates. I love the simple and elegant design of them. They're very sturdy platters that are made from a high grade ceramic. The best thing about these are that they're microwave and dishwasher safe. I love products that are easy to use and easy to maintain, which these certainly are. I'd highly recommend these and would definitely purchase them for myself or they'd be great as a housewarming gift.

These plates are good for every day meals. Very solid and big enough for serving meats and sides. I received them for my review, and I like them a lot. I think they will hold up great, and I know I will get lots of wear out of them for family dinners. Some oval platters are either too big, or too small These are the perfect size for my needs. I also like the design. Crisp and clean, as you can see from the pictures!

GAP HOME SERVING PLATTERS I love the Gap Home serving platters. The white platters have three blue stripes circling the perimeter, each stripe in a different width. These functional platters are attractive with the crisp white and blue colors. The bottom of the platters is smooth so they won't damage your tabletop or countertop. They are dishwasher safe as well as usable in the microwave. They measure 13 ¾” by 9 ½”. They are a good weight, not too lightweight to be flimsy, but not too heavy either; just a nice sturdy ceramic dish. While they are primarily used for serving, I think they are great when you need a larger oval dinner plate, such as for a great plate of Mexican food, a larger breakfast (pancakes, eggs, bacon), or anytime you just want to “pig” out! The serving platters made a nice addition to our dining experience. I think I will get a few more to use as dinner plates. They will be perfect when it warms up and we can BBQ outside. Nice attractive platters from Gap Home. I definitely recommend these platters.

I absolutely love these platters. They're the perfect size for small gatherings or even large gatherings, to put cupcakes, cookies, deviled eggs or whatever myself or my grandkids want to put on them. They're not very heavy but they're so pretty. They remind me of a country farm style. Very beautiful platters to use for any occasion. I can't wait for the next family gathering so I can show them off.

I really like the Gap platter set, it is beautiful. The set comes with two platters, They are made very sturdy but are not heavy. I like the blue design around the edge it makes the dish look elegant yet simple enough to use everyday.These platters are wonderful and very practical I plan on buying a set for my brother and his wife for their anniversary.I highly recommend this Gap platter set .
