So far so good
I ordered this protector after circuit of my garage opener was broken (likely by power surges because the grid in my area is highly unstable due to frequent thunderstorms in Texas) and cost $400 to replace with a new opener. The opener was just 1 month past the 1-year warranty. I do not want to replace my garage opener every year and thus ordered a protector. The protector is easy to install and its red light indicator means it is protecting. And it says if a power surge breaks through the protection, the light will be off. Hopefully it will work in the coming power surges and replace my $400 annual cost with $10!

Hopeful
Had a power surge at our cottage, which knocked out our opener. I purchased 2 of these surge protectors ( I have the same opener at home). Hope these do the trick to prevent this from occurring again.

Nice
Just received this garage door opener surge protector and plugged it in. Easy to install. It came packaged well and seems to be doing what it's supposed to do. I will find out during the next power outage

Needed this extra protection
Item came in a very timely fashion in great shape and seems to work perfectly. Thankfully, I haven't had a power surge since I installed it so, it actually has yet to be tested. However, I am confident it will be able to do its job.
