We have a toy hauler trailer with a party deck. Some trailers come with a screen to use when the the party deck is open. It keeps bugs out of the main trailer. We decided to take a chance on this working. It has worked well. Way less expensive than what the trailer dealer wanted for one.
I actually bought some of these screens to put around our north porch to help keep bugs and cats away without actually screening in our porch. I also bought some to use one our garage door and barn doors to help keep the cats and flies out of the barn. I really like these and like the fact that they come in black or white though it would be nice if the screens were heavier material. For the money you can't go wrong.
The 16' x 7' is ideal: a) the velcro on the sides keeps it tight against the garage, b) the heavy weights on the bottom keep it from blowing all over, c) great cover to keep bugs out. Only 2 issues: a) the metal magnets could be stronger as a slight breeze blows it open, and b) 8' would be much better for a double car garage.
Purchased one of these earlier this year and hung it on the side patio of my house . . while it is an inch or so short on each side, it still works great to keep out the majority of the bugs, leaves and dirt that happen to gather on this particular patio. I purchased a spare (would have purchased 2 or 3 extra if they had been reduced) so I could hang one on the front of the garage too for use during the summer months. Patio connects to the garage, so we could have had a really great breeze flowing through.
I bought this with good intentions for use but when I went to put it up, it was about 6 inches too short to reach the other end. If you have a very narrow garage door this will fit but if it's built after the 50s, it'll likely be too narrow. I had to add a piece to make it go end to end. The overlap is nice but there aren't enough magnets to make it gap-free. I don't expect this to last more than a year, but now that I have an idea of how it works, I'll make my own next time. Worth the cost if you can make it work. Just check your sizes. Oh, and staple gun the side velcro; it doesn't stick to the glue parts. Came right off in the first wind.
I think this would be a great product if it came in larger sizes. I need them for my storage building where I keep my boat and camper and the doors for this building are 10' x 12' and 12' x 14'. It would be nice to be able to open these doors and have the screens to keep bugs out.
I figured most garage doors are a standard size for single or double, and I have what I consider to be an average size garage door and these do not fit - too short and too narrow, so I will have to return them. My single garage door is 9' wide by 8' long and these are only 8' wide by 7' long so a full foot short all around. Disappointing for sure.
CAN'T REVIEW WHAT YOU DID NOT RECEIVE. GOT EMAIL THAT PRODUCT WAS SHIPPED ON 7-4-21. TRACKING INFO SAYS IT IS IN MISSISSIPPI. BEEN THERE FOR 3 WEEKS. I WILL NEVER BUY FROM LAKESIDE AGAIN. THIS WAS A LAST DITCH EFFORT TO GIVE THEM ONE MORE CHANCE. I AM DONE.
I bought the 2 car garage screen door and it is way too small! There is at least a 1. 5 foot gap of open space on either side that lets bugs in. If you have a 2 car garage, you would be better to buy 3 single car screens to insure it covers the entire garage opening with no gaps.
The velcro stacky pads provided with the screen can not even hold themselves up forget about holding the screen up. The original purchase price is reasonable but the cost of items needed to TRY to get this screening to stay up makes it not worth it. I would like to return it but my husband want to try to find something that MIGHT work.
