I'm a lifelong vegetarian of nearly 30 years and let me tell you, I've tried so many kinds of “chicken”- this is the BEST and most versatile one by miles. Flavor is so good but not so overpowering that you couldn't mix it into other dishes. Texture is literally *chefs kiss* Cost is incredibly affordable considering how many of these I go through in a week 😂 These are so much better for you than the breaded variants!!! Look up chicken dishes and you can make a ton of different vegetarian meals by substituting the real chicken for this, that's what I do and I eat this almost every single day in a variety of dishes or even just as a standalone feature of a meal. Healthy %26 low calorie too! I could actually go on and on about how much i enjoy this particular product lol definitely an essential staple for vegetarians imo
I am an ethical vegan and Gardein makes excellent plant-based products. I love these chicken strips and use them plain as part of my dinner plate , on sandwich's and in mock ‘chicken salad! Zero cholesterol, very tasty and no animals were harmed! A win-win!
Great plant based chick'n, texture is great as well as very tasty. We have it like we would have if it was regular chicken in any recipe. Roasted with veggies on sheet pan, on the grill, in a pan. Excellent in wraps, salads or even with pasta. You really can't go wrong with Gardein strips
I recently bought this for my home made chicken soup (I don't eat meat any longer) and WOW, I was a bit worried that it wouldn't looks, taste or have the texture of chicken and I was worried for no reason! Excellent white meat chicken for so many different purposes, highly recommend!
These also work in other applications (they're excellent in those Callender pot pies), but they are best with Asian flavors in my experience. They cook up quickly and have a great substantial texture, without getting tough. Pretty much absorbs whatever flavors you're using with it, rather than having a lot of taste on its own, but the texture is very chicken-y. Except with no gross veins or gristle or any of that, since it isn't meat.
Love these chick'n strips! The flavor and texture is great and is very versatile. I use these for chick'n and dumplings and fajitas. They're also great for salads and just eating by itself with ketchup. Very easy to throw in the air fryer.
We love this product! We eat them by themselves, in tacos, or just about anything else. My only complaint is that my Walmart doesn't seem to carry it or many of the gardein products!
we do not eat meat and this is a great way to substitute for many of our meals that would be using meat. Love their Turkey one too. We use meatballs and crispy chicken tenders too.
Perfect texture and flavor especially when fried in butter or olive oil if you want to be healthier. It really does approximate chicken. Great for my vegetarian. A staple we keep in the freezer at all times. We highly recommend.
I cooked according to package directions with a little herb de Provence for a Cesar salad. The texture was good, but the flavor was not. I think maybe if you toss the strips with a sauce (maybe barbecue or honey mustard) to have that be the stand out flavor it would be ok. I'm not giving up yet.
