Garmin 010-11280-02 Portable Friction Mount

I used this in multiple vehicles due to my work. It will mold to the dash as needed and is sticky on the bottom. The mount folds down to make it flatter for storage. No more trying to stick something to the windshield or dash and having it fall off while driving. Been on some very rough roads and many sharp curves and this thing has not moved. Be sure to wipe the dust off dash before setting in on. I would not use anything else now. Great product.

I like this friction mount. I can place it anywhere on my dashboard and it won't move. It also leaves no traces that it was there once removed. The suction cup mount that comes with the GPS leaves circles on the windshield where it was mounted alerting would-be thieves that a GPS is or at least was in the vehicle prompting them to break into the vehicle to find and steal it.

I now have 3 of these, one in each car. These are the best! My GPS stays in place, even after more than 3 years of use in one of our cars. Fits all vehicles that I have tried it in. Won't leave home without it!

The Garmin friction mount worked very well on my recent out of town travel. I would highly recommend this item.

I have bought several of the bean-bag mounts. This friction mount looks and works better.

This is my second one. Much cheaper than buying in Best Buys store.

I have two cars with a rough surface on the dash and no place to put the suction type GPS holder. NO I don't like it on the windshield they are sensitive to heat and on sunny hot days there is no worse place to get direct sun. I read one review that said he put the mount on his dash and it slid all over, this cant be there is a sticky surface on the bottom that attaches to almost any surface, however it has a thin protector that must be removed before putting it on the surface that will hold the mount. Mine works perfect it is pliable and can be adjusted to fit the surface if it's not to severe of a curve. I'll be moving it from one vehicle to the other on occasion and what I cant tell you is how the sticky surface on the mount will adapt to this. I've not had it long enough to comment on this.

Good Price for the product. Garmin Friction Mount is a good product to hold the GPS on the car dash, however it appears not to be heavy enough to stay on the dash without using the sticky back.

This little dashboard top mount is small enough to be convenient to carry in my GPS pouch, but it isn't heavy enough to keep it from vibrating. While it's still usable, it's annoying that it's always moving because of the vibrations from the vehicle. When I first used it, I didn't realize that the material could be bent to possibly provide more stability, but it's still not stable enough. I have an older Garmin friction mount, but it's too bulky to be practical enough to carry with me. The only solid mount available for GPS is the suction mount, but it always has to be wet to ensure that it doesn't fall off the windshield and then it leaves a moisture ring when it's removed. I drive new vehicles for dealerships so now it's my guess that I'll have to use the suction mount and carry cleaning pads with me to remove the moisture ring from the windshield glass unless I can find another friction mount that is stable.

Was great in theory but the bottom did grip as it was advertised and my garmin went skittering back and forth across my dash I returned and purchased a CD mount and have been happy
