The Garmin Circa has been a really useful addition to my daily routine. The biggest benefit for me has been sleep tracking. Sleep was something I had not paid much attention to in the past, but having the data available has made me much more aware of my sleep patterns and how they may affect how I feel during the day. I also appreciate how lowkey it is. Most of the time, I barely notice I am wearing it, while it quietly tracks my activity and heart rate throughout the day. That makes it easy to get a better picture of my overall health and activity without having another device that constantly demands my attention.
I thought I would try the CIRQA Smart Band as a possible replacement for my old Garmin Epix Gen 2 watch. It is not that i don't like my watch, its just that I have other nice watches that I like to wear but am reluctant to do so because I, admittedly, am probably over addicted to the constant stream of info that I receive from my Garmin watch. The CIRQA Smart Band seemed like a perfect solution...I could wear my nice watches and the CIRQA and still receive all the stats that are important to me. My exercise routine consists mainly of walking indoor, walking outdoor, strength training, indoor rowing and treadmill running. Of those exercises, the only one that my CIRQA produced reasonable accurate training info was the strength training - mainly since it doesn't involve measuring distances. I know that the CIRQA does not have GPS so it is impossible for it to measure distance without you phone. The problem is that without measuring distances on those type of exercises, it does not produce reliable distance or calorie count info (those are the two most important stats for me). So, I continue to use the Garmin watch when exercising and the CIRQA only when I am not wearing my Garmin watch and just want to continue having steps, calories, heart rate, sleep stats, etc. info available. I found it to be accurate for that type of information. You just have to remember to go thru the steps to change your primary device from watch to CIRQA and vice versa ( a bit annoying). In conclusion, the CIRQA is a good device to provide supplemental info when you do not want to wear a smart watch, but it is not a substitute for a good smart watch. PS. I just ordered the new Fenix 9 Pro so I may not be wearing my other dress watches much...at least until the newness wears off.
I have been using Garmin devices for a long time an Cirqa Band is juast what i was expecting to find. It does not get 5 stars for me as when you want to see your activity monitoring you have to open the app, it will be perfect if you could see the information on the locked screen of your phone or in the dynamic island (in case of apple devices), without having to open the Garmin app directly
It looks nice and is comfortable to wear all day and night. Bought as a way to not always have to wear my Garmin watch and it does just that. Not having an altimeter in it seems really cheap to me, the unavailability of bands whether it be wrist or bicep is unacceptable these days. There is no way the battery will ever last 10 days, it's below 20% in 3. Overall happy with it other than the battery life
I recently purchased the Garmin Cirqa Smart Band in black, and overall, I really like the product. However, I have been experiencing an issue with the band material. The band takes a very long time to dry after getting wet, even from normal activities such as showering or washing my hands. Because of this, I often have to remove the band and wait for it to dry completely, which defeats the purpose of wearing a fitness and health-tracking band throughout the day. Unfortunately, when the band remains wet for an extended period, it also develops an unpleasant odor. This is currently an issue with my band, and I have tried washing it with soap, but the odor remains. I really enjoyed the Cirqa itself, but I believe the band could benefit from some improvements. It would be great to see Garmin offer alternative band materials that dry more quickly, such as a material similar to the WHOOP band, or provide a silicone band option. Unfortunately, I had to return the product.
Battery life is way lower than advertised. 3-4 days. Software ok, not great. It's a practical tool for it doesn't feel that's it was deeply cared for and engineered more hastily put together. Hopefully second gen would correct some pretty significant flaws. Thank
Bought this thinking it would be minimal and barely noticeable on the wrist. But it is the feels like I have a watch on my wrist, and I am a large wrist man It gives you good metrics but not as much as a watch Should have bought a watch as it feels like I'm wearing one and I would like the extra metrics a watch gives
this thing is terrible at tracking sleep. it discarded the first sleep session of 5 hours and kept the second sleeping session of 3 hours of sleep.
Having used a Whoop for a few years, my expectations were high. I was hoping to save on the monthly subscription fee while automatically tracking the key metrics I rely on. Unfortunately, the device fell short in a couple of critical areas. First, the battery life was a major disappointment. With settings configured similarly to my Whoop, the battery lasted under two days—far short of the advertised "up to 10 days." The only way to extend it was to restrict tracking strictly to the evening, which completely defeats the purpose for me. On top of that, connectivity to my bike computer was spotty at best, making the heart rate readout on the head unit pretty inconsistent throughout my rides. Ultimately, I decided to return the Cirqua. I hope these shortfalls are addressed in future updates, as the device has great potential.
I've been a loyal Garmin customer for years, my bicycles all have Garmin computers, my watch is garmin. This product was rushed, the sleep tracking stopped working after 3 days of use, after waking up it would read that I burned 650 calories , not accurate at all. I waited months for the Cirqa, even returned a Whoop band given to me as a gift., I wanted my Garmin app to handle everything. I have returned the the cirqa band.
