Garmin dezl OTR610 Truck GPS Navigation Device

I got this while I started my career in the commercial industry. It's a fantastic piece of equipment when paired with the headset as well! Makes life so easy and you'll never miss a turn with visual identification of what your exits look like along with lane view!

I've used it in Atlanta ga and all over north Georgia if you got the right address program in it will take you right to the place it might be a few miles longer it does a good job to keep you on a truck route I'm very satisfied with mine simple to use

Garmin dezi OTR GPS was great. Our son loves it. He really needed the Garmin so at night he could tell easier if the roads were restricked to semi.

The screen is nice, but navigation is subpar. First day I went to use it it navigated me to go south on the highway which was correct, however it could not find the nearest on ramp. I was literally driving right by it. It wanted me to go north on a main st. in downtown and then circle around on a secondary street to get on the highway. This was my very first time using it so not a good sign. I should note I updated the maps and firmware. It took three hours to do that so it was up to date. Also I had the navigation parameters set to fastest time. The only other option is straight like which is really weird cause it shows a pink straight line with you all over the screen. Don't like that. Also it does not route multiple stops like I prefer. I do a lot of city driving with multiple deliveries of hazmat material. It keeps trying to send me on routes on outskirts of town when my next stop is right down the street and is truck accessible even with hazmat. It doesn't put the stops in order like I was hoping. Just shows you where they all are in a larger view screen which makes it hard to discern all the stops when they are clustered together like that. Lastly when I'm driving in a city I can't always look at the screen so I'm listening to the voice navigation. It tells me to take turns before I arrive at an intersection which makes me think I need to take the turn at the intersection I'm at. Its a little confusing. It should say take turn at next intersection so you can prepare. Overall this might be good for long haul trucking but not for multi stop inner city driving. Will look for something else.

JUNK!!!! I don't know if this is some kind of knock off or if Garmin is just not what it used to be but if you are a truck driver DON'T get this piece of junk. It will say that I am going the wrong way down the road when I am not, it will say that I am on a road that trucks are not allowed on and that couldn't be further from the truth, it will say it when I am sitting right in front of the place I am supposed to load or unload. All day long my phone will try to pair to the Garmin instead of the radio and when anyone calls it does pair to the Garmin and I have to try to change it while driving and it can't even find all of the addresses, I use Google maps and literally only use this piece of junk for the low bridges, otherwise I just use Google maps. I am sending it back, it's not worth $350 just for that
