Garmin Drive 51 LM Entry-level GPS Navigator with Driver Alerts

I deliver fleet vehicles for a local car deal all over the state of Florida. This GPS is perfect as it gives clear and accurate directions and notifies me of possible delays on the highway. I use this everyday. I travel all over the Southeast of the United States and love having this in my lower left window area. I have NEVER used my phone to navigate because it takes my eyes off of the road. The large screen makes it so easy to see at a quick glance of the eyes. Love my Garmin GPS!

This was a "like new" item purchased at a greatly reduced price. It work like all Garmin products work....Great. Very happy with produce and Beach Camera.

We replaced our 15 year old Garmin that finally stopped working. The new one is amazing when compared to the old one, technology has really improved it.

I decided to upgrade my Garmin GPS after many years. I like the new features such as dual windows showing what exit ramp to take. I also like that it no longer has that annoying phrase Recalculating. A nice feature is the red light camera warning. It makes you think twice whether to proceed when the light turns yellow.

It works great from point A to point B . Comes on and calculate quickly. The only thing I did not care about was it wants to always take major highways and interstates.

It is fairly easy to operate, but like most GPS it sends you on the most direct route. I live out in the boonies and it keeps trying to send me on small back roads that are under water part of the year. They should be programed to send you on the best route not the most direct.

The basic value of a GPS unit is in its accuracy and efficiency. I have found the Garmin 61LM to be less accurate than the TomTom Via that it replaced. I used the Garmin on three different routes that I am familiar with to begin learning how to use it. One the first route, it gave me a left turn away from my destination when a right turn was required. On the second route, it gave me a left turn onto a street name that does not exist when a right turn to a real street was required. On the third route, it gave me a route wandering thru side streets to my destination when a main highway and interstate were a more direct and efficient choice. In my experience, the Garmin is not a dependable GPS guide to a desired destination.

no voice control. i wish i had returned it

I received this on Oct. 31 2022. I've been using it for a little over a month, and it stopped working. It won't turn on.
